-Seahorses-
Seahorses are the most unique  creatures of the sea other than Mermaids
So I thought I would do a post on these tiny wonders of the sea. I hope
that you all Enjoy this post and the wonder of
this magical creatures of the sea!
The Seahorse are amazing sea creatures in that
they use their prehensile tails to grab onto the sea gasses and
coral too live and to hide from predator's.
The Seahorse are truly an unique and not just because
of their unusual equine shapes and colors that they
come in. Unlike most other fish, they are
monogamous and mate for life.
Rarer still, they are among the only
animal species on our beautiful blue
planet in the oceans in which the male bears
the unborn young.
Now isn't that a different kinda world!
These beauty's are found if you can find them? In the
shallow tropical and warm temperate waters throughout
the world. They swim upright and their relatives are that of the
Pipe fish. They range in size and shape, which can be
from 0.6 inches to 14inches long.
The male seahorse are equipped with a brood
pouch on their front-retrial area.
When mating the female will deposit her eggs into his
pouch and the male will then fertilizes them internally.
He will then carry the fertilized eggs in his pouch until
the hatch. Then releases then all when the babies are
fully formed.
So what you would see if you were in the
area of the lets say the coral reef type of
place is where these amazing creatures of the
sea would live, thousands of tiny miniature seahorses floating
into the warm topical waters.
Miniature seahorses are born fully developed because,
of their body shape and are easily more to swim fully formed
by using their small fin on their backs that can flutter up to 35times per second
which can mean between life and death in the ocean waves
when so young.
If they get caught in of of the summer storms they can
easily die of exhaustion in the rolling seas.
Even smaller is their pectoral fins located near
the back of the head which is used for
steering in the strong moving waters.
They will lean to anchor themselves with their
pectoral tails to the sea grasses and coral using
their elongated snouts to suck in plankton and smaller
crustaceans that drift by.
They will eat voracious at anything that flows
by and will continually graze and
consume 3,000 plus more of brine shrimp per day.
Until they become adults and find their own
mate for life and continue the circle of life
of the seashore in the sea.
Yet their are continue to be problems
with these tiny gems of the sea.
Population data foremost  of the worlds
35 Seahorses  species is growing very sparse.
This is due to worldwide coastal habitat depletion, pollution
,
rampant harvesting, mainly for use in Asian Traditional medicines,
have made several of the seahorses species vulnerable into extinction.
One other problem is the coral is dieing from bleaching and disease which is
and other problem in the major coral reefs where these gems live.
I usually don't do subjects like this but I love the sea and
there is so much we don't know about the sea and what lives in our
oceans. We must be careful or we won't have the beauty of the sea, and the
forest where all the Magick is alive.
So I hope we all will take care so
we will all live in Harmony together
and with the Magick
