Silver Cat~

Silver Cat~
Silver Cat
Good Afternoon my dear friends & followers, for today's post I found an interesting story about the Silver Cat. This Magick Critter is from the folklore of Lumberjacks of the forest workers in Wisconsin & Minnesota of the US forests during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. These Silver Cats
are described as having large bodies, their head had red eyes that were just vertical slits. Its tail however, is a deadly weapon of considerable repute.
Silver Cat

It's very long and has sharp spikes on it everywhere on it. At the end of its, tail it has a hard knob. This magick critter is a predator who lurks in the pine trees of the forest, waiting for an unsuspecting lumberjack to pass beneath the trees. When a lumberjack does, approaches the Silver Cat without knowing it, the Magick critter will drop its hard knob at the end of its tail on the man's head. This will knock the lumberjack out, then the Cat will scoop down on his victim with its spiky tail and bring the human up in the tree to be devoured. The Silver Cat belongs to a large group of beings affectionately known as the fearsome critters, whose who exaggerated proportions and activities in devouring their prey. They also have known to make unexplained noises too. I did find that there are many different versions of the Silver Cat in different countries that are very interesting that I will explore later. I hope that
You all enjoyed the legend of the
Silver Cat and I will try to remember to
look up those other legends to

The Test of King Arthur

The Test of King Arthur~
The Test of
King Arthur
Good Afternoon my Dear friends & followers, for todays post I bring you a story of Gawain and Dame Ragnell. Basically its was the tale of King Arthur and his test in order to honor to Camelot. The Tale starts when one day a hideous hag came to the gates of Camelot in order to test the honour of King Arthurs Court. The hag came to challenged the King to engage into a game of a riddle test.
The King would have one year to answer her riddle, but if he failed he must grant her one wish. Of course being a good King, King Arthur agreed and then asked the hag what the riddle was; She said, 'What does a woman want most?" After that, the hag left and promised to return in one year for the answer. So for the next year Arthurs knights spent the next year scouring every corner of his Kingdom for an answer to the riddle.
However, how hard they looked, they had no luck for their king.
When the year ended, the hag returned for her answer. Of, course the King had to admit he had failed and asked the hag to stated her wish.
"I ask for a husband," said the hag. At that point the King felt honour - bound to marry her himself. His Knights were horrified and his first knight Gawain stepped forward to offer himself as the hags bridegroom in his uncle's place. King Arthur readily agreed and Gawain and the hag were married.
Then on Gawains wedding nigth, as he approached his new bride with great reluctance he discover only to find his newly wife had become a beautiful princes. The hag was no more, at that momment the hag explained this to her new husband Gawain what had happened to many years ago.
She told him her name is Ragnell and she was under a terrible curse. "I can be beautiful either by night or by day but not both. The rest of the time I must appear as the hideous hag that you saw at our wedding early today. So after that she gave her husband Gawain a choice wheather he wanted to have her to be beautiful when they were alone at night or when they were with his friends & the whole court during the day?"
So Gawain sat on a chair for quite some time that night thinking what to
do, but in the end he just couldn't make-up his mind.
So Finally Gawain said to his newly wife
Ragnell, "You must do whatever you will my love!' with that, Ragnell said in delight, ''you have broken the cure!' she exclaimed joyfully. Now I can and will remain a beautiful princess for all time!
"That was the true answer to the riddle
to what a woman wants most is her own way! And from that day one the two lived happyily ever ever!
Well I hope that you all enjoy the tale of King Arthur Test and the love affair of his young nefew who lifted the curse from the princess. I love you all very much my dears friends & followers...

TipsFromtheGarden~BeeKeepingAsAHobby

TipsFromtheGarden~
BeekeepingAsAHobby~

Good Afternoon my dear Friends & Followers and
Welcome to Saturdays Tips from the Garden!
For today's Tips for your Gardens I thought I would give
you some light on Beekeeping as a Hobby.
Why? a couple of reasons my dears...
1- If you want to help the Honeybee pollution which has declined
in scary numbers in the last year!
2-It seems you can make a bit of money and safe the
honeybees too. There are many other fun reason too! Anyway
here are some more helpful idea's to become a Beekeeper.
#-Beekeeping doesn't take alot of land. So if you live in urban
areas, such as the big cities you can put beehives on rooftops, porch's or

terraces would work just fine. The honeybee will travel up to 3 miles from
the hive to find food nectar and pollen.
#-However, you will need to check with your town hall, local
zoning board and city government on the rules for beekeeping in your city or
the area where you live. Some communities are tolerant to beekeeping, but
there are other that are not and may prohibit beekeeping or limit the
number of hives you can have on you property. You just have to check
with your local community and the city rules. If you discover that
you have a tolerant community for beehives and you can have as
many as you want you are in busy. Yeah!
#-Now that you have found that your area is OK! in the rules of
Beekeeping you need to be committed to the world of beehives and beekeeping.
The Big City

The Suburbs

This is whether you live in the suburbs or the big cities.
The best time to start your Beehive in your community is in the
fall rather in the spring. I found this rather odd too,
but this is what i found. Of course it is always good to
do your own research before you start you own beehive in your
own backyards. How if you do decide to commit to be an beehive,
you have to get the right equipment. The best time to get beekeeping
equipment is either in the fall or winter.
So then you can get ready the following year that fall. Its
cheaper to get supplies like the beehive boxes and frames assembled,
and then assemble them in the off season so you're ready for next fall.
#-You should do some research on your own on Beehives. There
are many books, and great websites to help you to get started.
Here are two links to get you started..pollinator.org ~ vollmerapiary.com
As far as the location for your new beehives, Honeybee's can be kept
Suburb city

just about anywhere. However, the ideal location would be a well drained
spot that is easily accessible to the beekeeper, partially a shaded spot would
Big Cities

be good too! And close to a water source. Finally you should protect
your beehives from the wind too!
Beekeeping can also give you the feeling that you are helping are
pollinators the bees. You can also make some money for yourself or
an new small business too.
I hope that this post of TipsfromtheGarden was helpful and fun

Taken by the Fairies~Anne Jefferies Story

Taken by The Fairies~Anne Jefferies Story
FairyLand
I found this story my dear friends & followers and was very interested. I hope that you find the tale interesting too. It seems the story has many different versions or beginning to the tale of Anne and the Faeries but this is my take on the tale. It seems that when Anne was nineteen, she was in a service home of the wealthy Pitt family home. I don't know why she was put in this home at such a young age, but I will find out later in the post. One afternoon it was said that Anne was knitting in the arbour outside in the garden gate when something so alarming happened to her that she fell to the the ground in a convulsive fit. Anne was later found by members of the Pit family and taken up to her bedroom where she remained ill for some time. This could be days or even weeks. When she finally regained consciousness Anne related an incredible story that will never be forgotten. What Anne told the Pitt family was truly amazing. What she told them while she had been in the arbour knitting, she heard a buzzing noise in the bushes, not sure what it was she set her knitting down to listen more to the sound, then suddenly six tiny men appeared all dressed completely in green with unusually bright eyes. The leader of the faeries had a red feather in his cap and spoke to Anne very lovingly, then jumped into her palm of her hand, which she then place him on to her lap. The tiny man then climbed up Anne body and began kissing her neck, which she apparently enjoyed very much. He then called his five companions who swarmed all over her body kissing her until one of them put his hands over her eyes and she felt a sharp pricking sensation and everything went dark.
Faeryland
Anne was then lifted up into the air and carried off. When she was set down again she heard someone say, 'Tear! tear! and her eyes were opened. She found herself in a paradisiacal land of temples, palaces, beautiful gardens, crystal lakes, faeries of all different races and colours, brightly coloured singing birds of songs she had never heard before. The richly adorned people who lived in this magick land were human sized and spent their time dancing, singing and playing. Anne herself was treated like a princess. She again met her fairy friend with the red feather in his cap, [but human size] however whilst they were alone together his five companions arrived accompanied by an angry mob. In the struggle of the angry faery's you could say, her fairy lover was wounded trying to protect Anne and the same individual who had blinded her before did so again, to bring her away from their enchanted land. Anne was once more taken up into the air, this time with a great humming noise and finally found herself back on the ground in the arbour. After recovering from consciousness for those many days or weeks, from fairyland it seemed according to the Pitt family there were some side-effects that they couldn't explain after she woke up. According to the father of the Pitt family, after the incident Anne would eat no food at their house as she claimed to be nourished by the Good People themselves. They never really knew what she meant by that to the day she died. Also Anne began to show that she had healing powers which she never had before and since it being of the 1650's this was very odd. There was even one occasion that Anne had healed her mistress injured leg by just placing her hands on her leg and it was healed. Later hordes of folks from all over the country would come to the Pitt house for her cures. It was said that Anne could also foretell the identities of the people who would visit her, where they came from and what time they would arrive!
Fairyland
I found that Anne Jefferies was born in 1626 and died in 1698. She was the daughter of a poor labouring man, who lived in the parish of St. Teath. When she was nineteen years old, Anne who was remarkably smart and a clever teenager went to live as a servant for the family of Mr. Moses Pitt. Anne was an unusually bold girl and would do things which even boys feared to attempt to do in the 1650's. Of course, in those days every one believed in fairies and everybody also feared them too. They was constant talk about the faery folk and this set Anne longing anxiously to meet them. So everyday Anne could be often found after sundown, turning up the fern leaves looking into the bells of the foxgloves to find a fairy while singing a song;

Fairy fair and fairy bright;
Come and be my chosen sprite.'
She never allowed a moonlight night to pass without going down into the valley and walk against the stream and sing;
'Moon shines bright, waters runs clear
I am here, but where's my fairy dear?'
I also found that it was well documented, the source were taken from a letter in 1647 in the Clarendon Manuscripts and a printed letter from publisher Moses Pitt to the Bishop of Gloucester, written in 1696. Pitt was writing from experience as he was born in St. Teath and was the son of Anne Jefferies former master and mistress. I am sure there is more to the story and the writing of Anne, but for myself I truly believe what she saw and what she went though. After her experience she always went into the forest looking for the faeries.
The question is for you' Do YOU Believe?'
I hope you enjoy the post & the story
I love you all my dear friends & followers

Daisy~AnimalTales

Daisy~AnimalTales
I found this story quite a long time ago, my dear friends and followers. It was about a man
and his dog Daisy. The man is James Crane that worked on the 101st floor of the 1st tower of the world trade center. The reason I love the tale, is its my love for ANIMAL TALES!
James was blind so he had his golden retriever always with him when he went to work at the world trade center. Her name Daisy was always by his side. So after the plane hit 20 stories below, James he knew that he didn't have much of a chance to get out, so he let Daisy go, out of his love for his best friend. Once James did she darted away into the darkened hallway, he hope that at least his Daisy would get out.
James sat on the 101st floor choking on the fumes of the jet fuel and the smoke knowing that he would die soon. However, happily about 30-minutes later his Daisy returns with James boss, who Daisy happen to pick up on the 112 floor. So after, she came back for her master James she lead, his boss and about 300 other folks she had found on the floors to safety. Down the many steps of 101 floors. But Daisy wasn't done, she knew there were others that were trapped in the building. So against James wishes she ran back up the smoky stairs, leaving James to wonder if he would ever see Daisy again. As Daisy ran up the stairs the building was breaking apart around her on her second run up the 101 flight of stairs. Daisy, again went back into the collapsing building as James hears, what everyone saw in horror[that day Sept 11] the collapse of the tower 1 collapsed before there eyes. James then falls to his knees into tears knowing that his Daisy is gone!
However, I wouldn't have posted this tale if there wasn't a happy ending my dears friends & follows. I love a good Animal-Tales storey with a happy ending. Well it seems that Daisy had a guardian angle because against all odds, she made it out alive of the collapsed tower, but this time she wasn't walking on her own. She was being carried by a firefighter.
An firefighter had said, she had saved 392 lives before she found us then she lead us
to more folks before she got injured. Daisy final run saved another 273 lives before the Tower 1 had collapsed. In doing so she did suffer acute smoke inhalation, severe burns on all four paws and a broken leg. In the end she saved 967 lives.
James beloved Daisy became the first civilian canine to win the Medal of Honor of New York City.  So that is my Animal Tales for today I loved that story it is an old one and I forget where I found it but I felt that in honor of Animals that I had to share. Love you all
Very very much my dear Friends & Followers
