Empusae

Empusae-
Hello my dears Friends and Followers I found another interesting demi-goddess - the
Empusae. Of course she isn't the most pleasant of all the demi-goddesses, but has a very
interesting background with the Greek Gods/Goddesses of the Olympias. From what I could
understand about this demigoddesses, she is often associated with two other demigoddesses
who were likewise were related to her in someways.. These two demigoddesses were Lamias and
Mormolyceas. So how it all began with the Empusae, well she was the beautiful daughter of the
Goddess Hecate and the Spirit Mormo. Empusae mother the Goddesses Hecate was what they said in
the Greek mythology as the devotees Goddess Hecate - meaning - She who works her will - Empusae mother the Goddess Hecate has power over heaven, earth and sea; and was the chief goddess presiding

over magic and spells. Now the Spirit Mormo was a little more difficult to find but
I did find... which I thought it would be important to and bothe parents to the Empusae.. It says that the Mormo or in
Greek - Μορμώ Spirit was a spirit who bit bad children and was also said to have been a companion of the
Goddess Hecate. The name Μορμών was also used to signify a female vampire-like creature spirit that was

told in stories to Greek children to keep them from misbehaving. However Mormo Spirit [that would bite bad children] was a primarily female figure from the Greek
Gods and Roman Mythology is was also possibly a true Vampire. Eh! have I got your attention Hmmm. Maybe there were Vampires way in ancient times and How? well back to the tale. Mormo became the companion of the Goddess of the Greek Goddess of the
moon and Magic, Yet very little info was written about this Mythical Creature. The only thing that I did find

for you all is that the Spirit Mormo and companion of the Goddess Hecate may have had magick and powers that were connected to fire and of course their daughter Empusae...The Empusae can basically morph into any animal, creature, or human, but no matter the shape they take, you can always recognize them by taking a look at their feet. They can’t transform their metal feet. So the Empusae will often wear a long robe to cover their feet (Hecate adorns herself in long robes as well). Empusae are pretty evil things, even though their goddess Hecate is known for bestowing blessings. The Empusae will often prowl for wanderers in country sides, and when she find them the Empusae will devour them, and leave their bones on the
crossroads. So now that I have explained her so called parents if you will in the Greek mythology..
Now I will go into a bit about Empusae herself. She basically is a little bit of both the Spirit of Mormo Empusae will feasted on the blood by seducing young men, by

shapeshifting into a beautiful young woman and tricking the young men into their bedchamber or hers - then when they are asleep she then either changes form or stays in their human form and bends down and drinks
every last drop of the the young mans blood and eats
their flesh too. So Basically these creature were very fearsome underworld Daimones who would lure young

handsome men into the guise of the most beautiful woman they have ever seen, into their beds to their flesh and blood. Little did these men know behind the deceiving illusion of the beautiful women were truly demonic  - the Lamiai which had serpentine tails in place of their legs, while the Empousai had flaming hair and a mismatch legs of bras and a donkey too. It goes on the tell about the Lamiai as an haunting ghost which
also employed the illusion in the seduction of young men. They were all companions of the Goddesses of
Hekate, who also used haunting ghosts who came forth with her from the depths of the underworld. Which

in turn the Empousai and Lamiai were the ancient equivalent to the Vampyres and Succubi's. Well It has 

been a very 

interesting post I must say.

When doing this post I did find that I could do many other post on other 

creatures and Goddess that were in this post .. It seems that every post that i do, I find more interest material for my blog .. I just hope
