October 8th 2014 Lunar Total Eclipse of the Moon
Around the Moon-I thought for today post I would start the day with the Next Blood Lunar Eclipse Moon that had happen here in Seattle very early in the morning around the wee hours starting around 1am and at 3am for the full blood moon for about an hour or so. It seems that the best view of the Blood moon was the early risers in parts of Asia and parts of America. Even with our clouds and fog that we have quite often here in the early hours of the morning of Wednesday, we saw a smaller version of the Blood Moon of Oct 8th. There were some lucky ones that got to see the full moon turn from white to orange to the deep red, which is what is known to be the 'blood moon'. It seems that the hues of the moon are a result from the sunlight scattering off the Earth's atmosphere. The folks from Australia to Tokyo and even Japan got a great view between the clouds and fog Too. I hope that where every you might be in the world you might have gotten a glimpse of the wondrous Blood Moon. I have Included a few video's too.. Your Wendy...
