Ningyo Japanese Mermaid~
In the Japanese folklore they are called the Mermaid - Ningyo.

Unlike the European and Westerns who call them Mermaids. They are also a different kinda of creature in Japaneses culture compared to the European and Western Culture  too. In Japan the Ningyo is depicted as being an enormous fish but, with the head of a beautiful woman. Plus she is benevolent and very protective towards humans. They warn humans against misfortune on land and in the oceans and seas. They do not entice them into danger like her occidental counterparts. Note: These different folklore's are all up to a matter of opinion. I've just written the different cultures, myths, legends and folklore of the different counties. 

The Traditional Mermaids are often seen sitting on rocks on the

edge of the ocean seashore. They are usually singing and enticing curious sailors to come closer to the dangerous rocks near the oceans shores. It is this singing that allies them to the sirens, luring sailors to their doom. Even the ancient accounts as well as the more modern ones, the appearance of these creatures will conjunction with misfortune and disaster.
Although there are a few regions - Scotland, Wales and Cornwall in

England where the Mermaid has been kind and benevolent towards humans when they have rescue humans from the oceans and give humans their great knowledge in herbal cures for fatal sickness, others have given humans rich gifts in gemstones and warned them of terrible storms that are coming. 
It is also been heard of that a few of these Mermaids will marry a human. Their children will often have webbed feet and fingers. Yet these marriages never last very long. The mermaid usually will return to their watery world of the sea, where their men are called mermen. 

There are some stories during the medieval period in Europe that considered the mermaid to be an  agent of the devil and a symbol of deceit, but I don't believe in that at  myself personally so I am not going to go further on that subject.
I have found that there is a rich history and tradition in folktales, songs and culture around the world with the Mermaid-
These places are such as;
The Bonito Maidens of the Solomon islands
The Saivo-Neita and Havfrue of Scandinavia
The Nakinneito of Finland
The Nakinein of Estonia
The Imanja & Jamaina from Brazil 
The Margygr of Greenland 
Ningyo of Japan.

RosyƸӜƷ•☼ღ(◕‿◕｡)¸

It was an Early November 4 an I happened to be looking out my sliding glass window when I heard my Rosy [My Red-throat

a hummingbird that I've had living on my porch for the last 6years] making lots of sounds. I was amazed at what I was, so I just had to share with you all my readers. I  have had my Rosy a male Red-Throat hummingbird live on my porch for the last 6years and has been quite territorial over my porch area. I never knew how much until today! When I looked outside my partly opened sliding glass door. When I looked outside, it was amazing to watch these two males ~ I'm guessing Male Red-throat's another like Rosy flying around in ways know other birds could ever do and at the same time making this sound like they were talking to each other in their own language. This is my guess. That my Rosy is telling the other male to take a hike or else!  It lasted about almost 3mins between the two tiny hummers. They would dive bomb up and down very fast within and 1/2 inch I would guess between them. Although it could be even closer. Dive bombing with each at the sidewalk then all the way up to the feeders -facing each other with their beaks almost touching. Still moving their tiny wings very fast, it was as if they were having a heated argument about who was the boss of the porch area - food, and the female hummingbird that I saw in the tree close by watching all of this. It was so amazing to see these tiny birds still in flight yet moving very fast at the same time - beak to beak making this sound that only these types of hummers can make. They kept at it in front of the feeder for at least a 1min. Then after that, they kept up all over the porch area zooming fast speed to the right to the left to the sidewalk then up to the feeders then they would stay stationary for a bit and like talk again ~ Like who is going to be the boss or king of the porch! They even looked like they were fighting with each other, I have never seen such a thing but then again it is the survival of the animal kingdom. I couldn't even tell which one was my Rosy.

I have never seen such a thing but, then again I stayed and watched till they finished because I was concerned if one of the hummers might get hurt. But thankfully after watching them from inside my apt. It seemed that the hummers were coming to an end to their I guess conquest for the porch. 
I watched one quickly fly away for now - And the other flew to a branch that was quite close to the porch. I opened the sliding glass door slowly so I could get a better look, but didn't want to open the door for he might fly away. He was calm but his feathers were quite buff out and he seemed to be breathing very hard. But he had his domain back. 
And it's been like that ever since. I have since found out my friend that it was, in fact, my  Rosy that did win the battle. We have since then had many chats. I hope that you all enjoy my Monday morning and I hope you're all have a lovely day and enjoy life and the nature around you.

Pai Lung White Dragon

PAI LUNG White Dragon~

For all you who love Dragons.....

And for my Love for the DRAGON....

In this post I will go over the legendary Dragon Pai Lung.  In the traditions and legends of China where this Dragon origins began; Pai Lung is also known as the White Dragon - was also an Dragon King notable for being the only known White Dragon at the time. 
The Legend tells how a young girl anwers her door of their home one night to an old man, requesting shelter from a very violent thunder storm. When the older gentleman is found gone the next morning, the young was found to be pregnant. Her family figured it could only have been the older gentleman the other night requesting shelter-Being that it was in anicient times her family was outraged at what had happened to the young girl and ejected her from the family home. 
When the 'Child' was born it appeared to be no more a ball of white flesh, which the family threw into the water that was near them. The young girl had fainted from the terror and she never recovered consciousness on that faithful day. 
But the people of her town revered her as the mother of 

Pai Lung. So when the young maiden died, she was buried with honor and her grave became a shrine. Pai Lung  The White Dragon had a temple dedicated on Mount Yang Suchow in Kiangsu, where a tablet records of the legend of the White Dragon - Pai Lung still lay....

The Raitaro - The Buddhist Dragon

The Raitaro- The Buddhist Dragon
This is another post of my Love for the Dragon...
The Raitaro is a Dragon named in the Buddhist traditions and legends of Japan. The legend tells how a poor farmer named Bimbo desperately prayed to Buddha for rain to save his crop. Soon the rains came and during the height of the storm he found a tiny child. Bimbo carefully took the child home; no parents could be located, she he decided to adopt the tiny child and he and his wife called the baby Raitaro- Which means "Thunder Child". 
Years later after helping Bimbo the farmer whenever needed rain or other help with his fields, Bimbo became quite well off and was well provided for over the many years after taking in the small child in the thunder storm who was full grown how. It was then that Raitaro decided to move on and thank the now older couple for rescuing him and taking care of him all these years. After that their son Raitaro departed, but before he left they saw him  change 
into a magnificent White Dragon....
