Most beautiful women of Ancient China Xishi

~Four most beautiful women of Ancient China~

Xishi one of the 4-most beautiful
woman of Ancient China
~Xishi~
In this post, I am going
to cover the story of the four
most beautiful women of Ancient
China. The first will be Xishi.
I hope that you will enjoy this
new post my dearest friends &
followers. I am trying to post
at least 3 times a week. I have
been having a rough summer
as you all know, but I want to
try for you all, my wonderful
Friends and Follower.
 Xishi
was a legendary beauty of Ancient China. She has been described as begin equally charming in both heavy and light makeup, as well as appealing when she frowns as when she smiles. Her figure was said to be very plump, however in those ancient times 497 BC just like that in the ancient times of Europe women were loved and admire by their plumpness. For her time, she was celebrated as a woman of extraordinary natural beauty with a universal appeal. Although many have praised Xishi's looks, there is but little mention of her notable virtue---she had a great love for her country and her people.
Xishi first of the four beauty's of China

Xishi was the daughter of a tea trader from Ningluo Mountain village in the Zhuji county in Zhejiang Province of China. This comprised was a part of the ancient state of Yue, but when the state of Yue was vanquished by the state of Wu, the King of Yue[Gou Jian] was forced to serve the Prince of Wu for three years. On the Prince of Wu release after the three years of forced serve, the King Gou Jian slept on brushwood and drank gall before
each meal to remind himself of the humiliation of his country had suffered.
So he commissioned his men to search far and wide for a woman
whom he could send as a tribute to the Prince Fuchai of Wu.
Xishi, whose beauty was much talked of even from early childhood, was
selected for this grand task and once found sent to the Capital.
The King Gou Jian approved of the Choice of Xishi and had her dressed
in the finest robes and silks. He had her trained in royal court etiquette, for the royal court.  After Xishi was dressed in the finest robes and
trained in the royal etiquette Gou Jian ordered his minister Fan Li to take
Xishi to the Prince to Wu as a tribute gift from Yue.

During the journey, Xishi fell deeply in love with the wise minister.
Fan Li also grew to admire this courageous lady Xishi who was
willing to give her life for her country---China. Consequently, before they
parted, they made a secret pledge of undying love to each other.
When Xishi arrived at the Capital of Wu the Prince welcome
her with open arms. Prince Fuchai was completely enchanted by
Xishi's appearance and doted on her to a point that gradually he started to
neglect his political and royal duties, preferring to idle away his time with
the beauty Xishi. Prince Fuchai would frequently take

Xishi out on his carriages to the noisy areas of his kingdom and prosperous sections. Where he would love boasting to those around him
that he had won the heart of the most beautiful woman in the world.
The Prince was so full of himself that he would often say to his court,' If you want a better look at my Queen Xishi, you will have to present me
with some gold coins!' This way he also managed to enrich is coffers.
However, Xishi never lost sight of her mission. Her mission was to
bewitch the Prince of Wu so that his subjects would grow restless
and his friends would desert him from his kingdom. Xishi managed to
alienate the Prince Fuchai and his most-trusted general Wu Ziyi, resulting in the suicide of Wu Ziyi at the coercion of Prince Fuchai. The political chaos that ensued would enable the King of Yue to invade the state of Wu, recompensing him for his former humiliation. After the

chaos the ensure the invasion of King OUe to Invade Wu, it seems
the heavens granted the men's wishes. The King of Yue finally
annexed the state of Wu. Following the death of Prince Fuchai of Wu,
Xishi disappeared from public life. She lived in obscurity with
Fan Li who became a successful trader. There were many stories
of how Xishi met her end, some say that she drowned in the Yangtze River
by the irate Wu people after the death of Prince Fuchai and the defeat of Wu State; other say Xishi lived in relative obscurity with Fan Li for the
rest of her days. Then there is the unique history and legend of the feudal
china that has said on one has ever found fault with Xishi even
though she had caused the downfall of the state of Wu.
Well, I hope that you all enjoyed the tale of Xishi
one of the most beautiful women of China. I will continue
with the other 3 another day. Hugs to you all
my dearest Friends & Followers
