The Magick of the White Stag

The Magick of the White Stag-
I've always been in Awe of the beauty of the Magick of the
White Stag! To me it seems to have a Magical, Divine and Mystery about  these amazing Magical Creatures.
It is said that where ever a female deer roam in the forest the stag isn't that far off giving its sovereignty, strength and divine protection.
The White Stag in Norse Mythology in Celestial as a guardian.
It has four stags represents the four winds that stand around the world tree Yggdrasil.
Now in the Chinese Myth of the White Stag, it is the emblem of
Shouhsien, the God of Immortality. In Japan, It is the Celestial Stag. While in Greek Mythology it is said that the chariot of the virgin priests in whom Artemis was embodied was drawn by these most beautiful animals the StagsIn Hungarian Mythology - It is said  in this country that the founders of their people called "the Magyar People"  Note; It is very important in Hungarian legend, that the White Stag has many - antlers with its head turned back over its shoulder. This remains to be an important emblem for the Hungarians even Today!
In Celtic Tradition - The White Stag is one of the oldest and most prevalent Magick Creatures in Ancient times and even Today.
You may ask why?
Some of the legends of the White Stag in Celtic tradition can be demonstrated by the astonishing number of antlers that have been found in grave and pits where offerings  were made.

Note; In Gloucester, an archaeologist was doing one of these many digs, to see if he could find, some of the ancient Stag's antlers that were for these offerings centuries ago. In the dig at a Shrine to the local God , they uncovered a bronze figure of a Stag. On the figurine was an inscription which read, "Silvanus Callirius" meaning - [woodland king].
The fact that Stags grew and shed their antlers in the spring gave them a significant role as harbingers of death and rebirth. Often like
that of the Phoenix-Legend to of death and rebirth too.
The Irish- have their story too! The story is about Fionn- I have even done a piece on the Irish stories of Fionn if you have a look. Anyway, in the Irish Story of Fionn - Its a Fionn cycle, the hero that chases a stag which is Donn the god of the dead and protector of the crops and cattle in disquise
He later marries a woman of fairy origin who often takes the form of  a deer, and their son ossian is considered half human and deer.
This is a song which was his mother's ~
'If thou art my mother, a deer thou
If thou art my mother, a deer thou,
Be on guard from deeds of dogs''

One of the most famous poems In Celic Times about the White Stag-

"The song of Amairgin"

"I am a stag, of seven tines."

Lastly the Christian Mythology and European - White Stag.

The Myth starts with two Saints, St. Hubert and St Eutachius and tells how the two saints were out hunting, when they saw a young man had cornered something in the thick brush. There stood a beautiful White Stag. Before the young man could shoot the stag, St. Hubert and St. Eustachius  saw the cross of Christ with the Saviour living upon it, between the stags white antlers.
He spoke words of restraint and called upon the young man to the spiritual quest instead. I hope that you all Enjoy the wonderful legend of the White Stag. It is a famous story. I love you all very much my dear

IRISH CHOCOLATE VELVET
HOLIDAY DRINK
Good Afternoon my dear Friends & Followers, I hope that you all are doing well and are
having fun getting ready for the Christmas holidays. A few posts back I thought I would help you all with a few baking ideas for the holidays. I think it was the Peppermint Chocolate Sticks. I hope that you all like that idea...As promised I was going to help you with some of my
baking ideas for the holidays. And for today I bring you more of a holiday drink.
It will serve 4 people, but of course you can always make more. In this post I will includes so
images of different kinds of alcohol beverages that you can add to this drink if you choose to make it more festive - that of coarse is for the folks that enjoy a bit of spirits in their drinks. And of course these Drinks will taste just wonderful without the alcohol, for those of you that may not be able to have 'Alcohol' in their drinks anymore. I don't mind saying so that I am one to those folks and enjoy non-Alcohol beer, wine and champagne too. So Now with the
IRISH CHOCOLATE VELVET HOLIDAY DRINK-YOU'LL NEED~
1 cup of heavy cream
1 2/3 cups of milk
4 ounces semi-sweet, chocolate - chopped into small pieces
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
1/4 cup Irish whisky (this is optional - also if you choose to use whisky you should pick your favorite)
whipped cream, for topping
Chocolate curls or Fresh mint to decorate.
1-First thing you will need to do; get a hand-held electric mixer and whip up half of the
Heavy cream in a cold bowl that you had left in your Freezer for a couple of minutes before you start mixing the heavy cream in it. You will want to mix the heavy cream until it is thick enough to hold its shape.
2-Then place the milk and 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate into a small
saucepan over gently or low heat. Stirring it constantly until all the chocolate has melted.
3-In that same saucepan; whisk in the 2 tablespoons of the cocoa power slowly. Then bring the mixture to a boil. ( but i would so this slowly not fast you might burn the chocolate if you go to fast). After it has come to a boil, Remove from the heat  and stir in the remaining Heavy cream and either - the 1/4 cup of Irish whisky or your choose of whisky or no Alcohol like Me! stir in
till smooth.
4-Pour quickly into four warmed heatproof fancy mugs or tall glasses. Top each serving with a generous spoonful of the whipping cream you had made earlier, then add chocolate curls or
fresh mint or even Peppermint Sticks are fun.
5- Here are a few of the Images of the different liqueurs that I found that you could use
in your Holiday Drinks...

6- I even put in a few of my old favorites, when I could drink..

7- Lastly I have an idea that you might like. You use your Ice cube trays and fill them up with what ever flavor of liqueur is your favorite. After they are frozen, you can put them into any type of drink you would like Enjoy and have fun.. YOUR WENDY

Baileys Irish Cream liqueur

Sekhmet Warrior Goddess of Egypt

Sekhmet Warrior Goddess of Egypt-
Sekhmet Warrior Goddess
of Egypt
For todays' post I bring you the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet, she is the Lioness-headed Goddess fiercest hunter of Egypt. Her name comes from the word Sekhem (Power), and her name means; 'The One Who is Powerful'. In Egyptian Mythology, Sekhmet was originally the warrior goddess as well as the Goddess of healing for Upper Egyptians. She was depicted as a lioness, the fiercest hunter known to the Egyptians. It was also said that her breath formed the desert of Egypt and she was seen as the protector of the pharaohs and led them into warfare. As the Protector of the Pharaohs in Egypt their faith
in the Goddess was show by two Pharaohs;  Ramesses II, who took her as symbol of his power, and Amenhotep III, who built over 600 statues of the Goddess to use on a ritual. So you could say that she was a very powerful Goddess and in my opinion she was probably the God Ra daughter...
Some of the titles that the Goddess were given to her that I found were:
Lady of Life; Lady of Pestilence; Lady of Slaughter; Lady of Terror; Mistress of Dread; One Before Whom Evil Temples; Red Lady and Finally She who Mauls...
There's been some variation on who might be her original
parents or even how she came to exist.  Some believed that the Goddess Sekhmet was the daughter of the Sun God Ra. - For this the Goddess was consider an Solar Deity. Others thought she might be the daughter of Nut, the Sky and Geb, the earth mother of Nefertum. So you see in every culture and Mythology around the world there are different believes too. As I've mentioned earlier in this post the Egyptian Goddess was usually represented as a woman with the head of a lioness, dressed in red, sometimes with a Rosetta pattern located in her breast, however sometimes she is a naked woman who wears the Solar Disk and Uraeus, which associates her with Wadjet. The Goddess Sekhmet is the Egyptian of the sun, war, destruction, plagues and healing. She is also one of the oldest deities and one of the most powerful Goddess of Egypt.
Sekhmet Warrior Goddess of Egypt
Sekhmet was also said to be a member of the cult Memphite with her husband Ptah, the God of creation & wisdom plus son of Nefertum, the God of sunrise. And with she being said to be the daughter of the sun god Ra - created when his eye looked upon the earth below. She is also seen sometimes as the daughter of Nut, the Sky god and Geb, the Earth.
As the Goddess of Egypt she is depicted in many different ways. As many time seen waring the head of a lioness or the sun disc circled by a cobra on her head. She could be either dressed in what say often a red dress or naked, holding the ankh - the symbol of life when she happens to be seated at her throne. The Goddess as I have said earlier was consider a warrior and a healing for Egypt, in which she was the Patron of all Physicians and healers too. Her priestess were considered very skilled healers at the time. The Goddess Sekhmet would protect her healing powers and their aspects about them. It seems that she could bring about disease and plague to those who wrong her as the Lady of Pestilence, and she was also the master of the art of medicine as she would provide the cures to various ailments she may have brought to humans. She was the patron Goddess of all healers and physicians and her priests were known to be very skilled doctors as in some results very gruesome too. I discovered that the Goddess was even mentioned in numerous times in various spells in the Book of the Dead as both a creative and vicious force. However, it seems that the Goddess is mostly known as the protector of balance or justice - meaning 'One Who Loves Man and Who Detests Evil.'
Also the Goddess would be invoked to fight against the 'demons' of any type of plague or disease that would come thru Egypt. However, some people believed she could send these demons against her enemies too. So in fact she was a very powerful Goddess. As much as she would protect the people of Egypt she also represented the power of heat in
Sekhmet Goddess in her
Throne with her Lions and Slaughter
of killing of men-women and kids
Showing a bit of her Dark Side
of the Egyptian Goddess
Egypt, which explains why she was also known as Nester and the Flame too. The Egyptians in Ancient times actually believed that she created the entree desert with one breathe of hers.

There weren't that many myths written about her, however I did find a few. I did discover that the Goddess Sekhmet was in a partnership with a God Hathor. In which she took to the very dark side of her enter self. During this War/Battle of Kadesh the Goddess appeared on the battle field on a horse, that wasn't all to this tale and her Dark Side. She set all the bodies of the enemies soldiers into flames... That was the end of that Battle of Kadesh in Egypt.
It seems that there was even a time when the Goddess
Sekhmet got a request from her father God of Ra. This was when Ra was very unhappy with mankind in Egypt for ignoring all the Gods of Egypt, so he sent for his daughter the Lioness-headed Goddess - Sekhmet as a
Weapon of vengeance against the humans - So she became 'the 'Eye of Ra'. So it was said that the Goddess Sekhmet did her father request or vengeance against All! humans. She started the slaughter by killing all the men, then the women and finally all the children and even the very young too! Her thirst for blood had no limits and it was said that she had almost extincted all
Goddess Taking Revenge on
the Human race on the request
of her Father God Ra
of mankind. It seems that her raft of vengeance went deeper within the Goddess, than all the Gods and Goddess of Egypt thought. However, what do they expect she was the daughter of the God Ra! Anyway to stop her, they all came up with a plan by flooding a field with Khakadi which is a mixer of beer and
pomegranate that
dye that looked like blood. Well, they must of known the Goddess well, because it worked very well. The Goddess came down from the heavens and gorged herself, to a point that she got so drunk she passed out. The first thing the Goddess saw when she awaken was Ptah, which she fell in love with almost instantly. It seems from this union the God child Nefertum was born and Ma'art was re established. After this the Goddess was consider part of the Triad of Memphis along with her dear husband Ptah and son Nefertem.
After the Gods had saved the people of Egypt from both the Goddess Sekhmet and her father God Ra for taking revenge on the humans. There was a festival to celebrate the Goddess at the beginning of each year known as the Intoxication Festival. During the Festival, the people would drink in excess of wine that was stained with pomegranates and get drunk, just like the Goddess Sekhmet did centuries ago, as they worship Sekhmet. 'The Mistress and Lady of the Tomb', The Gracious One', 'The Destroyer of Rebellion', and finally 'The Mighty One of Enchantments.' Knowing that it was the other Egyptian Gods that stop her from destroyed all of mankind. I found this Goddess to be very interesting. As I do ever Goddess
I do when I venture off to different Cultures and Country's too. I hope that you
