Finding Faeries in the Forest of the Fae-

FindingFaeries in the Forest of the Fae~
Fairy in FairyLand
Is where you may see fairies gather on fern seeds, making a wreath of flowers or even on their favorite flowers known as the foxglove. There are other herbs, trees and flowers that are known to be homes of the faeries that I could name for you so that if you are very quiet and kind in these places of the fae they just might come out to play.
However, first I thought I would give you a few more secret places that the Fae are known to be so that you can experience the wonders of the faeries. You might try your favorite spot in the woods just before sunset and dawn. Make a ring of stones and then build a fire in that ring. When the Sun dips below the horizon behind the mountains and trees, take the fern seed plant that you had gathered and gentle rub it on your eyelids. They say you need to keep your thoughts away from the drudgery of the real world of your daily workday. Fill your thoughts with the beauty of Earths beauty, like that of the Redwood trees and how grand they are the plants, and the beauty of the all the many different kinds of flowers there are. Think about the wonder of how beautiful the Mountains and waterfalls are the air so clean to breath. Listen to the Dancing of the fire all around you. At this point, you should be feeling the energy of the forest and the Magick within it. And if you are honored to be able to see the Fae you will and you will have the experience of a life time.
Faerie of the Forest

There are a few other Magickal things that you can do too!

Magenta~ This is a good candle to burn with other candles when you need a speedier result.
Yellow~ The colour yellow is a great air elemental for the fae, it will bring quick changes in your mental creativity and will also develop your mind. So its always  good to have yellow flowers about. One would be the Calendula which is recognized for, its bright yellow flowers that resembles, the sun. It flourishes in warm sunny locations although it can also thrive in the shade. Also, Marigolds are great flowers of yellow.
White~ Flowers or the colour means peace calm, spirit guidance of the faeries so if you find white flowers like that of the valley of the lilies these would be a great place to find faeries.
Red~ Fire faeries are another type of fae you might see, and the colour Red is, use with fire elementals, courage, sexual relations and to lure humans to not so nice Fae to their lairs.
Gold~ The Golden faery will give you prosperity and good luck.
Black~ Colour Black is good for binding spells and other more evil faery
realms.
Blue~ The Colour Blue in the world of the Fae, can end depression, changes your spiritual dealings in light, Use the colour blue when working with water faery's and the elementals such as peace and healing. So In some ways the faeries can help with your blues and depression.
Green~The colour Green is said to be good luck, like when working with the earth faery's such as the leprechauns, gnomes and elves to bring balance, fertility to the planet earth.
Orange~ The colour Orange is said to renew confidence in humans, change your luck for the better if your lucky enough to get a faery with an orange flower.
Pink~  The colour Pink among the faery's means love, healing, emotions. Emotions matters to all Faeries and Magick fairies lore abounds with magic. And the humans have always been fascinated with these tiny creatures and feared my them too. It's been said that they [humans have been also been annoyed by the faeries shenanigans to].
So if you want to know what a few faeries might look like

here are my thoughts on the idea...
There are many different kinds of faeries from many different
Realms and Parallel worlds.
Some of these faeries have elaborate wings that appeared like
stained glass. Others have oily black wings. Some have furry wings of all
the colours of the rainbow and some colours you have never seen
before. One faerie was covered with a pale lite blue fuzz, that
covered her entree body and wings.

There are albino and night grifter faeries, that have
mothlike wings flecked with peppered black.
There were, other faery's that had thorny wings & a pointy tail.
Another Faerie looked liked a reptile cover in blue
glowing scales.
There are rare one's like the Golden Veil Fairy~
She Glows in the dark with shimmering wings of pure gold. Has Gleaming
golden feathers that flow beneath her body and around her head too.
The Golden Veil Fairy also has a rare mesmerising song.
Faerie Queen with platinum long flowing hair, silver dress that glitters with translucent wings. There are even faeries that are pure white with pearl & opal -like wings long white hair, pale white skin too.

Fairy Herbs~

Fairy Herbs~
Faeries siting watch humans
with her herbs to made sure they
do the right way of using them.
In this post today my dear Friends & Followers I have some Ideas on Fairy Herbs!  I have always been curious about what how these herbs can sometimes help humans and other times  can be harmful. So sit back with a warm cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the story. It is said that the fairies are quite skilled with healing powers the herbs that they use. Some of these herbs that they use, will share with the humans, but only the ones that are kind to them especially if they look after their fairy infants.
In Russia, it is the Rusaika who offers this knowledge! It is said that some of these faerie healers attribute their experience to inter-breeding with faerie folk generation centuries ago. Knowledge was not only given  to the humans of which plants were use, they also were told when they should be harvest by the Fae.
They seem to gather the herbs mostly at midnight when it was the safest time of the 24-hour period of an day, also they Fae liked this time because of the dew is covering the plants or at dawn. It seems to make the herbs more magick of sorts. The faeries also would be heard to look for herbs during the time near midsummer solstice too. This was a very important time for  the Fae bothe faerie and elves. Making the right selection of rose or flower petals and roots of plants are very important and the gift of the fairies would be to see one sitting upon a toadstool where you might be looking for herbs. However, if yu break a branch from the wrong tree or use a herb incorrectly and you may be struck down on that very spot where the faerie was sitting and you will never see a Fae again.
Here are a few of the different Kinda Faerie Herbs that will either protect you or if used incorrectly will you know what will happen!
Rue- This herb makes British and Persian Faeries alike powerless; Whey? Well I will tell you why! Grasp two handfuls to escape their world to wear the dried leave of this herb Rue in a little bag around your neck; this should get you out of their realm if you want this. Another
trick, indoors with the herb Rue is to rub the floors with it to send any spirits flying away. Also Rue is used medicinally to strengthen the eyesight, of humans though there are no reports stated whether it brings fairy worlds into focus for humans.
Wormwood~ This herb is found in the shade, and is one of the most important herbs  of the Fae's ointments. It is used to put an enchantment spell onto a human or to remove the enchantment spell on the humans. The herb can be consumed but if eaten to much of his herb it can cause to much stimulate to the brain. Some have said who have taken too much of the herb Wormwood stimulate the world will turn blue, then yellow. They have said that the herb Wormwood in one of the ingredients of La fee' Verde Absinthe, its fameist for its narcotic like effects. The herb was known to repel Evil some say. Faeries are said to fear this herb wormwood and would fly away as soon as they would see it in the woods.
Its repelling properties is most popularly expressed in it s folks used as a worm and flee the tonic. Who would carry a sprig in their pocket at night to insure safe passage through the dark woods, especially in Russia, where it is supremely effective against the Rusalka.
Wild Thyme~  If you every gather the wild thyme! from the side of a faery hill an d wear a sprig or use the tops in a potion that enables you to watch the faery world, especially if you sleep out! When placed under the pillow, it keeps away the night mare- night this be related to its use as a respiratory tonic and to relieve muscle spasms? Medicinally it is valued for anti ageing properties too.
Wood Sorrel~ This fairy herb is used in Fairy and Elf spells, it could be because of its triple leafed habit. In the 19th century this herb had magick properties that were co-opted to the
Christian Trinity, though it retains the nickname FairyBells. Interesting Eh!
Yarrow~ The Yarrow Herb is an protective herb plant against fairy glamor and a potent wound healer too. It will also help with speeding recovery too! It cannot be harmful with supernatural forces, miraculously until midwinter. Also its good to hang over the cradle for human babies to give them powers of prediction and is used in love divination. At the Harvest at noon on a sunny day near a full moon for concentrated potency is the only way this herb will work its best.
StitchWort~  This herb if picked may caused you to be pixie - led warn people in Devon England Since it is a plant considered, special by fairies.
Elecampane~ This herb has a aromatic root, that is an active very active and used by the fairy world and their magick. Other names for this herb include are 'Elf Dock and Elf Wort. It Grows or is Scatter around the home if you fancy drawing the little fairy one in your home. Also elves have also have a fondness for the lavender herb, or elf leaf as they world call it.
Ground Ivy~`Well the Ground Ivy is called Lady Wilde , some say. And that it ground ivy safeguards against spirits and is a cure for many fairy ills.
Clover~ The Clover Well many of fairy love this herb why because this plant is also know as the shamrock and the Tom Thumbs which gain some of its supernatural powers in the weather prediction and fairy love. From the sacred to not so sacred. If you are lucky to find a four -leaf clover of even better a five-leaf cover make a wish, place it in a hat or behind your ear and your will see faeries some have said.
Similarly if you contact an ointment of an four - leaf clover or an amulet containing  a clover and seven grains of wheat. Clasp a clasp a clover also to extinguish fairy glamor. You must be very wary about faulty herbs of the Clover - the old leafed clovers have a most potency when you stumbled across one of these rare herbs rather than activity sought out and those who carry a clover are considered fair game for fairy enchantment.
Mugwort~ The Mugwort is an charm herb plant, which if placed in the shoes during journeys and famously worn proudly in the Isle of Man. Scene of much fairy lore, on the national day, July 4. Mermaids love this plant and will occasionally used in a similar way to the herb wormwood. I hope that You all Enjoyed the Fairy Herb Post  my Dear

Red Deer Fairy

Red Deer Fairy-
Red Deer Fairy
Hello my dear Friends & Followers, for days post I am going to tell you about an tale about the 'Red Deer Fairy'~
I found this while looking for new and interesting material for you all to read on my blog 'Fairy Animals'. It seems the Insular Celts held the deer as an very supernatural animal 'Fairy Animal'. For Example 'Fairy Cattle', that were herded an then milked by an localised and benevolent fairy giantess bean sidhe in each district of Scotland, who could shift-shape into the shape of a Red Deer in the West Highlands. This Red Deer Fairy had selected the individual deer that would be slain the next days hunt. I will go further on to why these Red Deer Fairy do what they do~
In Ireland, an Chaileach Bhearach - meaning 'The Old Woman of Beare,' who is on an Island off the coast of County Cork will also take the form of a deer to avoid capture too. There are others in the Celtic mythological legends that have such figures that do to such as Oisin, Flidais and Sadb which are all connected to the Red Deer.
So as promised the legend and true tale of the Red Deer Fairy of the Highlands of Scotland. I fell in love with this tale, I hope you do too:o) Everywhere in the Highlands of Scotland the people there know of the Red-Deer and how they are associated with the Fairies. Also how in some places are said to be their only cattle. Moreover , this association is enhanced by the Fairy-like appearance and habits of the deer too. Timid and easily startled are they by every sound or appearance that a human might make. Its said the you should not move in the presence of the Fairies. However, to popular belief no deer is ever found dead with age, and that its horns, which it sheds every year are never found because they are hidden by the Fairies.  The transformation of the deer to Fairy is quite peculiar if you are so lucky to see it.
The Red Deer Fairy
In Her True Form
What happens is this;; The Fairy woman will assume the shape of the Red-Deer and in that guise they are often encountered by many hunters. The Elves have a particular dislike to those who kill the hinds(deer) and on finding them in lonely places, delight in throwing elfin bolts at them ( Which I would guess are Magick to either put human hunters in at deep sleep or worst). When a dead deer is carried home at night the Fairies lay their weight on the bearer's back, till he feel as if he had a house for a burden. So meaning  they don't make it easily for them getting the deer home. Some have said the in some districts as Lochaber and
Mull are highly associated with the Red-Deer Fairies. Also only far few have seen the actually fairy in their true form after the deer had pasted. They are small and usually dressed in green. Some might even have green hair too. but one really doesn't know because not that many have see the the true form or if they have they never been able to remember...
Well my dear Friends & Followers I hope that you all  Enjoyed
the Post on the Animal Fairy the Red Deer.. I love you all very Much Hugs!!!

Changelings~

Changelings-
Mother trying to retrieve her baby
from the Changelings
She never had so sweet a changeling;
And jealous Oberon would have the child
knight of his train, to trace the forest wild;
But she perforce witholds the loved boy,
Crowns him with flowers and makes him
all her joy;
William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

For today's post I'm going to bring you through the tale and legend of the Changelings...
Changeling Infant
It seems that the tale of the Changelings started in Europe, Ireland and I think Scotland too? And from what I understand from the legend of the Changeling is that 'You should never! leave your newborn baby alone even for a instant.' From what I have learn of the legend of the Changeling is, if an mother of any part of the world turns their back on their new born sleeping in their cribs, for just a few seconds they will not find their precious baby in the crib, but a different baby much different and sometimes sickly and ugly too. They could also be misshaped and often even elderly looking too - 'Fairy Child - Changelings'. There are other accounts when the human mothers find these fairy baby's dead in their cribs; badly shaped log or even a block of white/brown or black wax with a baby blanket on it.
While all this is happening, the tiny mortal baby has been spirited away by the Faeries, Elves, Trolls & other underground Fae creatures. Of course there is the most notorious of all child abductors and that would be, Titania Queen of the Fairies. The risk of an changeling coming into your home are particularly strong during the first three days of your baby's life. [This is when a human infant must be watched day & night 24-7hours a day]. And to a lesser degree for the first six weeks of the human baby's life. It is said that the human infant isn't safe at all until it is baptized or the church baptism. Another way to protect your infant is you must always have a burning light/candle near them, even in broad daylight. Why? because the underground Fae creatures are afraid of the light!
Human Mother with her Changeling infant
There are other tales of Changelings that I found ~ A bit on the grisly side than the others I though in my opinion. In Germany the changelings are quite sickly, wizened, they are commonly known to have shrunken legs and a abnormally large head for a baby. Plus these changeling Fae baby's will never gain the power of speech or displaying frighting precocious language skills. There's more! The changeling baby will also howl incessantly and feed ravenously; meaning these Fae babies will suckle so greedily says one tale that they will
empty the human mother of breast milk and move onto the nurse maids - up to five to satisfy the changeling hunger. A Scottish tale is a bit more grisly. In Scotland a changeling if hungry for the human mother's milk it would bite and tare the human mothers breast so insatiable for its hunger that the mother would bleed from its suckling so hard. It seems that these Fairy Changelings would in turn make most of their human mothers bleed at every feeding and after most would howl inhumanly day and nightly, so these changelings were a threat to the entree human family and their existence too. Another interesting note about these infant changelings is that they never grow-up! So Changeling the baby of the Fae interesting! Well now I thought I would put my opinion on this legend... I am sure that 110% of the legend is true, but I can't believe that all the baby infants of the Fae, meaning the fairies,Elves,Pixes, dwarfs, and all the different races of the elves and faeries too would have these grisly 'Fairy Infants' that they would give-up for a Human Infant! I could see this in the trolls, and other unearthly creatures that live in the darkest deepest caves but then again not all still would give up their Fae Baby's. Like the Drows and the Dark Elves! They too are a very proud race of Elves. So of course there were some that did steal human baby's for their own and then put their changeling Fae baby's in return. But in my opinion it wasn't always the case.
Bridget Cleary & Michael Cheary
I did find a case that was documented that you might find interesting. On the bottom of these post is the two links too the storeys that I found...
The Story that I found was about an Irish woman by the name of Bridget Cleary.  Briefly the tale of Bridget was about a young Irish woman that was killed by her husband for peculiar reasons. The motive of her husband was, he believed that his wife had been abducted by faeries and left a changeling fae in her place. He had claimed to have killed only the changeling not his wife. It stated that Bridget was burned to death alive. Bridget was born around the year 1870 in Ballyvadlea in Ireland. She had married Michael Cheary in August of 1887 and  the couple had met in a small town of Ireland called Clonmel in August of 1887 where he had worked as a cooper and she served as a dressmakers apprentice.  After the two love birds married, she had returned to her hometown of Ballyvadlea to live with her parents, while Micheal continued to work as a cooper in the town of Clonmel Ireland. Note it didn't really say why they lived apart in their first part of their marriage, but maybe that's how they did things in those days? Anyways, during those days apart, Bridget became more independent by keeping her own flock of chickens and even selling eggs to her neighbours for a little income. Of course this was somewhat unusual for that era and the location in Ireland, being a professional woman. It seems that Bridget even obtained a sewing machine and was well known as a dressmaker and hat-maker too. The couple seemed to have been married eight years and had no children by the time of Bridget's grisly death. And it doesn't say how long they were apart in their marriage either too. It seemed that  the after most of the family members had died  no know wanted to live at the house where Bridget once had lived. Why? Well because it was on the site of a fairy ring of course. Do you want more to this tale? Well I have more..Bridget was reported missing in March of 1895. Appallingly she had been ill for several days, although her specific diagnosis was never discovered. It seems that here mysterious illness lasted for more than a week and than March 13, 1895 - a doctor came to call her at her home. It seems that Bridget condition was considered sufficiently worst, so bad that they had a priest stop by the next day to administer her last rites. Now this is very odd to me what could have made her so sick? So I guess several of her friends and her family came by to see Bridget over the next couple of days thinking it was her last days before she was before she would die. There were a few home remedies that were used hoping to safe her from dieing, but of course things got weird. Instead of being sad of the last rites from the priest and seeing their daughter and wife peacefully slip away into the divine heavenly way.. No didn't happen that way Bridget's father and her husband Michael accused her of being a Changeling sent to take over Bridget's body. Why? Well these were some of their reasons; She was in her very ill condition mind you! Carried before the fireplace to cast-out the Changeling and Urine was thrown on her. These were only two weird things that I could find that her FATHER & HUSBAND HAD DONE TO HERE IN HER VERY VERY ILL STATE OF MIND, SOUL AND SEEMS CLOSE TO DEATH.
Then on March 16, the small town in which she had lived was beginning to wonder what happened to Bridget even the local police began looking for her. Of course her husband still hold to his guns claiming that his wife was taken be the faeries, and he appeared to be vigil about his statement, but we all know what happen don't we. Because on March 22, Even with the witness statement that were gathered over the week before - Bridget Cleary's burnt copse was finally found in a shallow grave on March 22. And there were 9people evolved and charged in her death and disappearance; which included her husband Micheal. She had died a painful death by burning to death by the hands of nine NINE!!!PEOPLE... Well I have had about enough of this. I just can't believe that 10people would do such a thing... Don't people believe in the good faeries what is happening here? Anyway there it is if you want to read more the links are on the bottom of the page. I will be including some images of bothe the happy and not so happy legend of Changeling

I hope that you found this legend and storey intersting..

Shopiltees-

Shopiltees-
Shopitees Seahorse
For today's post my dears, friends and followers I will explore the playful water spirits Shopitltees that
resemble seahorses. However these Mythical creatures should not be confused with the Shetland Cabyll-Ushtey, Shoopiltee, Kelpie Celtic Sea horse [know in Ireland as the Phooka Faerie; It takes any shape it wants, which could be either a horse, pony or many other creatures or humans too] and also quite dangerous is the Kelpie horse of Scottish/Celtic Scottish Water horse. If you are more curious about these tales of these  faery horses and the Pooka faery here is a link to my blog so you can read it for yourself; wendyjargonncom.blogspot.com/search/label/Celtic%20%20horse
All of these are similar but, not at all like the Shopiltees water spirits horses. These are very friendly and
Shopiltees Seahorse
playful. Before I go further on these tiny friendly and playful spirit water horses. I wanted to cover the great interest that Horses have always had with the fairies. Now this is bothe water horses and land horses. This is also true with the Elves too. I could be that the fairies & the elves have a special way of speaking to thee animal kingdom unlike we humans never figured out how to do. And that might be one of the main problems why are animal kingdom is dieing in enormous numbers today. So back to the Fairies and the horse and how much they love horse; It was said many moons ago before man when it was just the fairies and Elves, they would take great delight in horsemanship and were excellent riders. They sometimes entice young humans when the humans started to enter the world to ride out with them and would dash along them like the wind. Afterwards, those young men became the most fearless riders in their towns and country sides which wasn't the best thing in those ancient times. The majority of the humans in those days feared new things and the people that knew the fairies were a bit frighten. So at night when the humans horses were neigh at night, the fairies, elves or witches would ride them hard.  So that they could not be found ever again. Again I got side tracked; The
Shoopiltees or Shopilees are tiny WATER HORSES or ponies that like to play about the Shetland and
Shopiltees Seahorse

Orkney Islands, However they haven't been seen in more than a hundred years. They are quite similar to the KELPIE HORSE in character and live off the blood of the drowned victims. I did found a little more info on this tiny Shetland mini-seahorses called Shopiltees and Iceland has the nykur seahorse. Even thought they say that these Shopitees Seahorses are said to be very friendly, I still would  use caution because of their larger cousins the Kelpie Horse and the Phooka Horse that can turn into any type of shape. These Shopiltees are said to be friendly and playful yet they could very well lure you into the water just like their larger cousins too. But Their history does have a good one many moons ago as playful tiny water horses that lived in the Shetland and Orkney Islands that was over a hundred years if not more. When they were on this physical plane people of the Shetland and Orkney Islands loved this magick creatures. Where they might be now? I am sure they are still here but, in a different plane or a parallel world that is right next to ours... I hope that you all Enjoyed the tale of the Shopiltees Seahorse tonight. I wish you all a lovely Evening my dears, Friends & Followers. I love you all so very much. Have a great day tomorrow...
