CELTIC DRAGONS

CELTIC DRAGONS-
Green Celtic Dragon
IN THIS POST I AM GOING TO EXPLORE THE CELTIC DRAGON.
In someways I can relate more to these dragons more because of my Scotland  heritage, but
there is alot more to it I soon discovered as I began to read and research on the CELTIC DRAGON.
I first found that the Celtic Dragons are associated with the elements of life, as the Celtic People
would call it. Let me try to explain. Each Dragon is associated with an element of the Earth - Air for
an example is a masculine ruled element. Each dragon symbolises the union of the beneficial elements of
either the element water, air , earth and spirit. The Elder Spirit is associated with the aspect of the
old Man element as  part serpent and part bird. Each of the elements are governed by a specific energies
and special qualities which are ruled by either the feminine or masculine aspect of the divinity of the
Celtic Dragon. I hope I haven't lost you my dears, friends & followers:o? The fiery breath of the GREEN DRAGON is believed to be purify and give new life. So in the world of the Celtic Dragons the Green dragon is the most highest and purest of all other kinds or types of dragons..
This would make perfect since to me because the ancient Celtic people truly believe the ways of the
earth and the elements of the earth too. So it would make since that the Celtic Dragon would be that of
the same and the most important of all the dragons would be green like that of the green Earth.
Celtic Dragons
It is said in the ancient Celtic times that the Celtic Dragon was a symbol of wealth and was also associated
with the element of powers of Earth, but not what you might think? It is not just Treasures or magick powers,
it was a much greater power - the power for the Subconscious mind. Yes these dragons could read or some even could control ones thoughts...The Celts also believed that the dragons were creatures of the parallel world and their power and presence would affect the ley of the land. Also it is said that the path of the dragons is called a vein, which was a
critical to their flow of energy to the ley or the land. If ever there was an spot in the lands in ancient times where the dragon would have stopped to rest, that would have became a spot of heightened power.
As they do at Stonehenge, many people feel that these is one of these place. It could be the fact that every year that so many people come there just to feel the energy of the summer solstice the longest day of the year. I thought I would add a bit of history of the summer solstice and what it means to Stonehenge if anyone hadn't heard the tale or history behind it.. The Summer Solstice is celebrated all over the world, but it seems that the Energy at Stonehenge in England is quite rare. It is an Pagan & Christian Celebration that all pay homage to the sun, not so much because it is considered a deity, but because for man is undoubtedly the main source of life. It seems for a few days at a certain point , the sun will rise and set in the same position.
Red Celtic Dragon
The sun will gradually do this between June 21 and 22. Of course this been going on since ancient times, people have realized these changes and they have celebrated with various festivities.
So what exactly happens with the sun? Its the change of the direction that the sun happens to take between the month of June 21 to 22 and it will stay on the horizon for those 2 days. As it was hailed the beginning of a new period of life. This day, is known as the summer solstice, and is still remembered and and expected every first day of summer June 21. Indeed, even though we believe that the summer begins, after the longest day which is represented by June 21, the sun begins to set, resulting in the gradual shortening of the days.
I also found that originally only a pagan Celebration is now a Celebration for widespread cultures of many
beliefs that come together on an ancient belief on the motion of the sun. Kinda interesting how all our cultures
Celtic Dragon
and beliefs have put aside our differences  to just love the joy of life of the Sun Energy, for the one day the Summer Solstice. I think its kinda cool, because Stonehenge was dated back in 4centuryBC.
Well back to the Celtic Dragon - These dragons have always been associated with the Power of the land
of mostly Scotland & Ireland. And Even today in many esoteric rituals people believe that the invoking Eye!
of The Celtic Dragon 'The Eye of the Dragon' will increase their personal power as a person individual.
It is said that the ancient Druids believed that the Earth itself was like the body of a dragon & they would
build their sacred stone circles upon the 'Power Nodes' of this body. They (the Druids) believed dragons connected with us by mean of thee Earth's magnetism and its healing waters too. So in so many words
the Celtic people truly believe that the Earth and the oceans, lakes and marsh lands were all part of these
magnificence creatures that I truly believe as I am sure some of the people of Wales, Ireland and Scotland still do that the Celtic dragons are still living deep within their lands.  When doing my Reading on the Celtic Dragon I have come on the Mysteries words such as 'ley'. I have used it a couple of times and thought I should explain what it means.. So what it means is the relation to the location of mystical sites such as Stonehenge or even the mysterious crop circles that are seen all over the world. What you many not know is that another way of saying 'ley lines is 'Dragon lines'.. I hope I have confessed you all completely.. 'ley has other names too; such as the Land. In ancient Celtic Ireland, they would use ley of the land' as a term of describing how the cosmic forces would flow through and influence their lands, as well as how the areas itself was affected by those Cosmic forces. And the 'ley of the land' was thought to be the Dragons who had
Celtic Dragons
a tremendous influence on their lands, hence the term 'Dragon lines'. So there you go I hope I was able to explan the acient ways of the ley and the Dragon lines in a way that you all could understand my dears:o
Of course the Celtic dragons were revered like Gods, and were believed to bring Earthly and Heavely forces
together. The Celts also belieived dragons guarded the gate to both the Heavens and the Underword.
As guardian spirits who protect the Earth and all living things, the Celtic Dragons are arguably the most
powerful of all the Celtic Symbols. I hope that you
Enjoyed the Celtic Dragon and i was able to explain some of the parts ok.. I love you all very much
and I hope you all are having a lovely weekend.
Much love to you all. my dears Friends & Followers
You are the best and always in my thoughts hugs:o

Japanese Dragon Ryu

Japanese Dragon Ryu-
In this post I will be covering the Japaneses Dragons and how they are similar in ways to that
Japanese Dragon Ryu
of the Chinese Dragons, but are more serpentine in shape plus they have only the three
claws on each foot rather that the 4 to 5 claw foot. These Dragons are said to fly less frequently but I will
read-up on that to see if that is true for all the Japanese dragons. I did discover that the reason the Japanese
Dragons only have the three toes/claws is because of the Japanese believe Eastern dragon originated in their
native homeland. The people of Japan believed that, when the dragons began to leave the homeland,
they gained toes. The further the dragons went from their home Japan, the more toes they gained. Which
would explained why the Chinese and Korean Dragons have more toes. And that is another tale to be told another day. The Mythological history of the Asian dragon traces back its roots back to India before the
birth of historical Buddhism in the year 500BC, and has its foundation in a belief in Naga, meaning human- like creatures who wore crowns or serpents on their heads. How the Ryu Dragon however, was said to be
imported into japan from china together with Buddha around the mid-6 century AD. Most Japanese Zen
temples have the Ryu Dragon painted on their ceilings or their assembly halls since it the Ryu Dragon is a
protector of the Buddhist law. The Japanese Ryu Dragon is a creature of harboring - many different aspects
coming together as one within the imagery of the Irezumi. The Ryu dragons are associated with the Japanese Buddhism, but the dragon is also able to control storms and rains, and this ability makes the Ryu dragon a symbol of fertility as well, since there can be no good rice harvest without the proper amount of rain.
The Ryu Dragon also has the ability to shape-shift as well and is well known when one delves deeper into the
Japanese Dragon Ryu
mythology surrounding. The Ryu is quite handy with his magical proprieties too. It is also said that the Ryu Dragon had associated with many of Buddhas thru the ancient times and with well known historical figures in
the Japanese Culture... One of these famous Cultures is called ' Dragon rising to the heavens'. Basically the story or tale goes Ryu sho ten ' A dragon rises out of smoke near Mt. Fuji, ascending toward the sky.'
I have also found that the Japanese dragons are diverse legendary creatures in the Japanese mythology and folklore. Some of these myths were that of the amalgamate native legends with imported stories about dragons from china, korea and india. Like these other Asian dragons , most Japanese dragons are water deities  that are associated with rainfall and large bodies of water and are typically depicted as large, wingless, serpentine creatures with clawed feet.
It is said the most famous of all the Japanese dragons is the Tatsu or Ryu which is a descendant of a primitive three -toed variety of Chinese dragon. This Japanese dragons are traditionally associated more with the sea than the rain. This is because Japan is less vulnerable to drought-related disasters as compared to China. Therefore they didn't feel the same need to pray to rain - releasing dragons.
Japanese Dragon Ryu
I also found out that the Ryu Dragon was
originated from Buddhist religion and is one of the four divine beasts from Japanese mythology. The other three beings were the Phoenix, Turtle and the Kirin. If you didn't know the Kirin was its the Japanese Unicorn - and If you are interested in learning more about this amazing creature I have actually written a post on this beautiful Creature... Just have a look on my labels under Japanese Kirin.. Anyway back to the post. It seems that that these for divine Creatures of Japan are frequently the emblem of the Emperor of the ancient Japanese times.  The Dragon Ryu is said to Rule the water of Japan. And there is tale about the dragon Ryu or Ryu-jin,  the most well known dragon in Japanese legend. It kinda goes like this; the Ryu Dragon is summons a storm by howls and then transforms into a huge tornado. I found that the Ryu Dragon is very popular in japan because it is an bringer of fortune and wealth and can be used as a good luck charm if one chooses to do so. I found that many people now in modern times have used the Ryu Dragon as a good luck,
fortune and wealth in the form as tattoo's.
DRAGIN KINGS- were the Ryu Dragons of Japan... These dragon deities were teachers of Buddha and the propagating his teaching. They would honor the Buddha texts, as they lived in the water and had the
power to control the rain. I found is some of the stories of the Ryu dragon they would demand the Buddhist
treasures, especially the relics in exchange for quelling thunderstorms. In their kingdoms beneath the sea they guard treasures, such as jewels, and the Buddhist texts. When an termed is up for an Dragon Kings Ryu, they may appear independently in paintings or they many be shown in groups or as attendants to the Buddhist deities. The link below will show you even more on the legends & Mythology of the Japanese Dragons. I hope that you all Enjoyed the Ryu Dragon of Japan..

I love you all So very much my dear Friends and Followers

Dilong Dragon-

Dilong Dragon-
Dilong Dragon
Good afternoon my dears Followers & Friends I want to introduce you to the Dilong Dragon. The Ancient Chinese Dragon of 'Earth Dragon'.  He is the last of the four Ancient Chinese Heavenly Dragons who control the waterways on the Earth: There was the Celestial Dragon [Tianlong], who guards the heavenly dwellings of the Gods; the Fuzanglong Dragon [the Dragon of Hidden Treasure]; And the Spiritual Dragon [the Shenlong Dragon] who controls the rain, winds, clouds and thunderstorms. I have already covered the Tianlong Dragon, Shenlong Dragon & Fuzanglong Dragon, so for today's post I am going to cover the Dilong Dragon -the Earth Dragon who control the waterways of the Earth. In Chinese Mythology Dilong means 'Earth Dragon' as with the other Chinese 'heavenly dragons'  the SHENLONG DRAGONG - TIANLONG DRAGON - FUZANGLONG DRAGON AND NOW THE DILONG DRAGON...When
first starting the Dilong Dragon (dilong means 'earth dragon') I found that it had many different version of meanings. However, the Dilong Dragon was the four of the Chinese Element Dragons. Hence the Long Dragons or Divine Dragons. Since such dragons as the Shenlong is (divine dragon), and (huanglong) is Yellow dragon. And (di')means 'Earth;Land;Soil; & Ground which semantically contrasts with (tian) means 'heaven & sky. And (tiandi - Tiandihui) means heaven, earth and universe. It can be a little confusing but
bare with me. The Dilong dragon - Earth Dragon is also used to mean 'Earthworm' in Traditional Chinese Medicine and 'Geosaurus' in 'Zoological Nomenclature'. I found that the Dilong Dragon was paired with the
Tianlong Dragon 'heavenly Dragon'. Which is interesting for the fact that the Heavenly Chinese Dragons are able to fly, and thus were considered the celestial dragons or creatures rather than
Terrestrial ones like that of the 'Earthbound' Dilong Dragon.  It seems that there were two other
exceptions that I didn't know of till I started this post on the Dilong Dragon and that would be the Panlong Dragons which are 'Coiled/Curled Dragons; a dragon that has not ascended to the Heavens' And the
Tulong Dragon - an 'Soil/Earth Dragon', which is referred to as the Tuo' Dragon - 'The Chinese Alligator' or
the Japanese Mogura Dragon - 'the Mole'. I hope I haven't lost you all my dear friends and followers:ooo
There is more to the tale of the Dilong dragon.. It seems that in the mid 7th-century during the Liang Dynasty,  Admiral Wang Sengbian  is said to have seen the Lianglong Dragons 'Two/pair Dragons', that ascended into the sky, and the Dilong Dragon 'Earth Dragon', leave the Liang territory which was a main portent of their
defeat in the year 550CE of his Dynasty. There is another tale of the Dilong Dragon and this is the
'Earth Dragon Child' which is an Elegant name for the 'Earthworm' which is usually called the Qiuyinlong Dragon. I also discovered that the Dilong was first means Earthworm' in the Quixiu Leigao in the Ming Dynasty. It was a bit difficult to find info on the last two dragons to complete the 4-Chinese heavenly dragons but I was able to do it. And I hope you all Enjoy the four post too. I will continue to try to write interesting and fun post for you all .. I wish you all the best - I love you all very much
My dears Friends & Followers for always reading my humble blog...

Fuzanglong Dragon

Fuzanglong  Dragon-
Good afternoon my dears Followers & Friends I want to introduce you to the Fuzanglong Dragon. The Ancient Chinese Dragon of 'Hidden Treasure'. He is one of four Ancient Chinese types of Dragons: There is the Celestial Dragon [Tianlong], who guards the heavenly dwellings of the Gods; the Fuzanglong Dragon
[the Dragon of Hidden Treasure]; the Dilong Dragon [the Dragon of the Earth who controls the waterways of the Earth]; And lastly the Spiritual Dragon [the Shenlong Dragon] who controls the rain, winds, clouds and thunderstorms.   I have already covered the Tianlong Dragon and the Shenlong Dragon so for today's post I am going to cover the Fuzanglong Dragon. When researching this dragon there wasn't as much on this dragon to tell and I couldn't find any images of the dragon, but the one that I have posted is my interpitation of the Fuzanglong Dragon. So I hope that you will all Enjoy my image:o.. However I did find more information on other different types of dragons that I am planning to post later on.. The Fucanglong Chinese dragon is the dragon of Hidden treasure. What he does is; He waits deep deep in the earth guardian his hordes of jewels or rare minerals - like that of diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, ruby's, blue diamonds, to be just a few of his favorites. The one time one would ever see the Fuzanglong Dragon is maybe and that's a BIG! maybe! if you happen to be hunting for treasure deep in the bowels of the Earth! Like that would ever happen, but you never know or when the Fuzanglong is called upon to report to the Gods at which he will burst from the deeps of the ground skyward causing a huge volcano to form.. There isn't alot of info on what these dragons might have looked liked by as most Chinese Dragons were more the Long serpentine type of bodies, with legs like lizards and talons like that of eagles. How their heads are usually somewhat delicate with the long
trailing like whiskers and usually have horns on their head too. These Fuzanglong Dragons like most of the
four Chinese element dragons almost always are wingless, but that isn't always the case and that doesn't mean that they don't have the ability to fly without wings. These four dragons are very special in the Ancient Chinese Mythology because of their elemental magical powers and the ability to fly without wings. They fly
through the winds and magical currents that flow through time. Well my dears Followers and Friends I hope that you all Enjoy my new post for the day on the Fuzanglong Dragon. I will continue to try to
tell interesting stories, myths and Lengends for you all! I do love you all
for if it wasn't for you all my dear Followers and Friends I wouldn't have my
humble Blog, love and light to your all and have a lovely Sunday
