Hope Is A Blue Eyed Husky~

HOPE IS A BLUE EYED HUSKY-

Good Evening My Dearest friends & followers/Welcome again
to my humble blog as we near the end of 2015. I thought you might like a few more Christmas Spirited Stories that I found that were
written by some very talented folks.. I just love this story about
Christmas, a stray dog that need a home and the spirit of Christmas blessing a couple with a wee baby... The link to the place where I found Andrea story is at the top of this post. Enjoy hugs---

It was the time of year when people work hard to spread cheer and Jason and I were doing our best. I hung the last  ornament on the
Christmas tree as he looked for the memorah to put in our window. Nonetheless, there we were, facing another holiday without a baby in our lives.
Then came the knock on our door that world save the season. A neighbor stood on our front steps with a lost dog, a beautiful white and black Siberian husky, drenched by rain. He sat on command, gave us his paw and then plopped down in our foyer from exhaustion and slept for hours. It wasn't the first time Jason and I had agreed to take in a stray. But that particular Christmas, after multipule failed attempts to conceive through IVF and having just learned that an adoption of a little boy had fallen through, it felt like a Christmas miracle. Curling up with this blue-eyed husky would help fill the void. We decided to foster him and call him Wiley. Two days later we took Wiley on a hike. Out of nowhere, in the kind of scene that only unfolds this way in the ovies---or, as it happened, in our favorite canyon in L.A. a girl ran up to us and fell to her knees, exclaiming, "Blue, is that you? Wiley licked her face. I couldn't believe it. What were the chances that we would run into this owner? I  welled up with tears at the thought of saying good-bye.
She told us more of his story. It turned out, before he ran away and made his way to our front door, the girl had been looking fro a new home for him. She loved the dog, but didn't have the wherewithall to take care of him. I asked her what she wanted to do. "I want you to keep him, as long as you have a fenced-in yard and you name him Blue.' This pst summer, Two years and some months after Wiley Blue's arrival, I gave birth to a baby girl named Ruby. Wiley Blue licked her toes and ran through the yard  leaping over bushes with excitement. He had helped usher Ruby into our lives, keeping our hearts open and our house full of cheer long after the carol singing was over and the decorations were put away, while we waited, with hope, for our baby to arrive.
Merry Christmas

CHRISTMAS Holly Jolly Jelly Shots

CHRISTMAS
HOLLY JOLLY JELLY SHOTS~
HOLLY JOLLY JELLY SHOTS
Hello, my dearest friends & followers and welcome to my
humble blog. It's almost Christmas & I thought I would
add a few Christmas Holiday Cheer for you all. I have been
doing this every year and I hope that you all enjoy the different
recipes that I have found... Happy Holidays~
The link below is where I found this grand recipe:
holly-jolly-jelly-shots
Ingredients:
1-[3-ounce] box of cherry gelatin dessert
1-[3-ounce] box of lime gelatin dessert
3-packets of unflavored gelatin
1-[14-ounce] can of sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups of vanilia vodka
36 dollops whipped cream for garnish
36 mint leaves for garnish
72 small red candies or 36 if using just one for garnish
Directions:
1- Lightly coat a square dish with cooking spray, then using a
paper towel, wipe out the dish. It will leave a light residue to help
unmold your shots, but it won't affect the taste.
2-For the Red layer, sprinkle half of a packet of gelatin over 1/4 cup of water. Remember to allow it to soak in a minute of two. Then add one box of the Cherry gelatin, along with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until everything has dissolved. Adding 3/4 cup of vodka of your choosing. Repeat the same process to the Green layer.
3-To make the white layer, you need to sprinkle two packets of gelatin over 1/2 cup of water. Then allow it to soak in a minute or two. Pour in 1 cup of boiling water and one 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk. Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed and the gelatin is all dissolved. You should have approximately 3 cups of liquid. Allow this to cool down to room temperature.
4- After you have allowed the liquid to cool down to room temperature. pour half of the Red mixture into the prepared pan. Place pan in the refrigerator to set, for about 20minutes or more. Once it is set, add 1/3 of the White mixture to the top of the Red mixture. Pop any air bubbles and return to the fridge to set again for about 20 more minutes till set. Repeat with the half of the Green mixture. Then White, then Red, then White again, then Green. Allow finished pan to set another 2-3 hours or what would be even better is overnight.
5- When you're ready to serve, gently pull the edges away from the pan, and invert onto a cutting board. Slice into even squares. Alternately, you can just cut in the pan itself but it might be harder to remove the first few squares.
6-Finally you then place them all on a nice Christmas like serving platter and top with whipped cream, using a piping bag or can. Top with a small bit of mint leaf and a red candy or two to simulate a holly leaf.
Happy Holidays
I hope you  all enjoy the

JOYFUL MEMORIES POEM

Joyful Memories~
Those days remembered
of joyful hue
live as the echoes
of times oh so new.
Christmastimes blessings
wonderful sights
now are the magical
days I delight.
Joyful memories
painted with time
live as the wonderful
days on my mind.
Joyful the journeys
magical scenes
painted with colors of
reds,  blues and greens.
Wonderful moments
that my mind still sees
become as remembered
joyful memories.
