The Unari Elves-2013

The Unari Elves
These Elves are quite unique. They are a mix of the elf and the magic of the Unicorn, who's origins
are attributed to divine interventions.
They share the elfin passion for song, dance and poetry, as well as maintaining close ties to their woodland heritage with the animal. The Unari Elves are a peaceful clan of elf's but not pacifists and will take up arms to protect those things that they hold dear to them.
Personality ~
The Unari Elves are a passionate race and are born performers. They like to do nothing better than to entertain an audience and move others elves or humans to the point to great emotion. They are far more excitable than their cousin elfin and are nearly always the eternal optimists. They know only selflessness and have a very giving soul.
A Unari Elf companion would not hesitate to sacrifice himself/herself or and Innocent and would travel to the next life with a contented smile in his/her face to help this person in need.
Physical ~
The Unari Elves are not much taller than their elfin cousins . They typically stand about 5' to 6' tall
and weight up to 135-pound to 250-pounds.
The Unari Elf male are noticeably larger than the female and both sexes are covered from Head to hoof in very soft white fur. Their hair is typically ranges in hues from silver to white to gold. Most all Unari Elves kept their hair in long flowing manes. Men usually have short beards on their faces-
A Unari elves legs are jointed just like that of a horse and move and like that of a horse too.
Yet their face is similar to that of all the elfin cousin's.
Though, their faces are a little bigger & longer than most elfin clan's, they still have the same pointed
ears and facial features as their cousins. They also have a ivory horn that projects from their forehead that is no more than 3 inches long, but this all depends on how old they will get. Some Unari elf's  can grow ivory horns to great lengths, it just depends on their heritage of the Divine origins of the Unicorns and how long the elf will live. The Unari foals mature at the age 60-years old and can life quite long into many centuries depending on their life-style and environmental conditions.
They take great care in their grooming skills over the hundreds of centuries. These Unari elves have been known to live very long and happy lives due to their good grooming skills of caring for their ivory horn and the beautiful white, silver or gold flowing manes that they constantly brush and keeping their tails braided and clean. They are even known among the kin to be particular about grooming and keeping their manes and tails very clean and always braided neatly. They also enjoy clothing that is very loose and has flowing lines. This is probably do to the fact that they are half horse/unicorn. They also like bright and cheerful colors too.
Relationships ~
The Unari elves get along well with all elf's and can be usually found among them for they are highly
valued as performers and entertainers.
These Elves and half elves share a certain bond for they are both half-breeds. They suffered the same predigest as it is still in the year how 2013-
I found the Unari Elves fascinating and so refreshing. It was wonderful to find these elves that were both a peaceful, passionate, love of song - dance and poetry. And that they are a kinda divine elfin clan you might say..  In the earlier part of the blog I've mention that they are very selflessness and  giving souls . And would give their live freely to save another whether it being elfin or human.

Auric Wings

Auric Wings
In this Blog I will continue to talk about the faerie wings and the energy or light they have
Fairies aura's of light
within them~
Fairy wings are described by some people who have witness this delightful sight, as a wing-shape
Fairies orbs of lights
aura's of light rather than actually a physical essences. The notion of auras or orbs of light gained widespread notoriety among most humans across Europe and Northern American with the 19th century spiritualist movement.

They thought faeries were an aura, a subtle area that is surrounding the physical body, that only can be seen by those who are suitably attuned to the layers of colors and visual energy fields that is linked to other worlds and realms or forces of the huge universe that is never ending.
This notion of believe is both back in the 19th century and even today - which has inspired many writers like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who's uncle, Richard Doyle was one of the leading illustrators in many of the influential anthologies of faerie tales.
Sometimes and more times then not the aura of the faeries is not a visual one, but a flame, (candle

burning intense blue)this was a common notion in Shakespeare's time or a distinct scent presence.
In Cornwall an intense floral scent assails those who draw near a portal to faerie land, but its not always a pleasant as one would think.
The Nuckleavee Faerie ~
There are Scottish sea faeries called Nucklelavee which are a type of fairy found in Scotland in the Orkney Islands. It is as far removed from your usual conception of a fairy as possible and its name is still considered unlucky in some parts of the Scottish Isles.
He is a horrific demon of the seas, the Nuckleavee and a godlike horror
Nuckleavee Faerie
that will intangible himself  and can be invisible while he's in the sea. Once he reaches land the creepy Fairy Nuckleavee will take a different form - it took was a kin to a living nightmare and was described as either a horse, a man or a fusion of both in both forms. The Scottish fairy was skinless with pulsating veins and muscles exposed.

The Nuckleavee Faerie was gigantic in size yet its features were grotesquely mismatched with a head so horribly large it would roll to one side and its arms were so long they would drag along the ground. Plus his hands were monstrously huge, with a single cyclops like eye on its head and the horses legs he has had to be a kin to flippers too.
The Nuckleavee has a gaping mouth, that his full of rotting fangs and a supernaturally putrid breath that could strike living being dead or infect them with disease at any moment.
 The Nuckleavee Evil Sea Faerie
The creature is responsible for the black plague in London, famine, drought and much more.. According to the nuckleavee's power and his legend, he has a undying hatred to humanity.

If anyone was to use the Celtic harvesting of burning and harvesting of the seaweed in the Scottish Isles, this is said to invoke the Nuckleave Faerie's wrath even more than usual and in retribution the evil fairy would inflict the islands horses with a deadly disease known as mortasheen.
The only known ways of killing the evil fairy Nuckleave is with freshwater and the Sea Mother goddess of the Sea.
Being of Light ~
Aura's and energy light force...  Shinning or opalescence is a form of light.
Fairy aura's of light
These all come from Ireland's legendary race known as the Luminous or Shining ones for their Magical knowledge and Worldly Grace.
"White as the divine Snow in Moonlight" This is what a 19th century witness of a faerie sighting said.
Other people have testify to formless presences that show only as a whiteness, like some of the wailing Celtic death faeries.
Spirits of the Sea ~
These sea spirit faeries tend to reflect the play of light on the oceans

surface. The most astonishing being is the Maori Ponaturi faerie whose skin has a phosphorescent glow at night.

Fairy Lights ~
Then they are the Persian Devas and Italian Candelas which are tiny spheres of lights who appear as a group of tiny twinkles after dusk. 'Like dolls' and one Englishman describing his faerie sighting in 1842 "Dresses sparking as if with spangles but not sold, rather light and shadowy.
Fairy light might be the most apparent in the

eyes, for many can tell it is a faerie by eyes alone, which are strangely penetrating and bright often described as more shinning than ours. Like burning fire coals in a pale visage.
They recall the intently staring illustrated in the wonderful books of someone who sees beyond the present world and other realms -
These are the people that really see faeries and know they are really are faeries and some even have entered their World ~

The Slavic Rusalka Fariy

Slavic Rusalka Fairies
As I continue my discover in the mythology & magical creatures, I've decided to branch out to different cultures other than my own. In doing so I have found the most fascinating creature. Some I have already blogged for you. And I will continue to look further in my later blogs. For this one I will be looking into the Russian folklore of the...
Slavic Rusalka ~
The Rusalka is a female mermaid, ghost, fairy, water nymph, succubus and a demon that dwells in waterways. According to most of the Slavic traditions, the Rusalka are usually a fish-woman who lives at the bottom of rivers, lakes and ponds. Then in the middle of the night the Rusalkas will walk out from the waterways on to the banks of the lakes etc. They will walk also the the meadows that are nearby the waterways and dance & sing the night away. If any of these Rusalka see a handsome young man or men around, they will lure them with their songs and dance. These Rusalka' fairies usually dance naked or with very loose flowing white or light colors long dresses which they are able to mesmerise the men very easily.
Once they had the men in their grasp, the Rusalka would lead the men back to their lake home's  to live with them forever. And the men would  never miss or know that they ever had a human family above the mucky waters of  the lake.
The Vila ~
The Vila are the Slavic version of the nymphs who have great power over storms which they take great delight in sending down on either a lone traveler or men at sea. They live in the meadows, near  trees to protect, ponds, rivers & oceans. They can also appear as swans, horses wolves and beautiful women and young girls.
They're also fairy - like spirits who live in the wilderness and sometimes in the clouds. They were believed to be the spirits of women or young girls who had been frivolous in their lifetimes and now float between here and the afterlife.
They to can appear as swans, snakes, horses, falcons, ravens, or wolves - that they shape-shift into  beautiful maidens that are either naked or dressed in white thin dresses with long flowing hair. The voices of the Vilas are quite beautiful and very luring to anyone who hears their songs - coming from their lovely voices. It is said if one does hear their voice they will lose all thought of food, drink or sleep for day on end. The Vilas beside being beautiful for their feminine charms, they are also fierce warriors too. When the earth shakes, it is the Vilas warriors doing battle against what ever magical beast that is trying to take their territories.
Another great power that the Vilas have is the power to heal and they have prophetic powers too! They willing to help humans (mostly handsome men) with their healing powers but its a very rare happening if it happens.
If you ever come across a deep thick grass area with a small or large ring - this is a fairy ring left where there was a dance. These should never be walked upon or walked over, as it will bring you bad luck. As I found out in my readings so walk with your own risk if you see one!
You might left a offering for the Vilas consisting of round cakes, ribbons, fresh fruit and small vegetables . They like flowers too, left at the sacred trees, wells and fairy caves.
Slavic Rusalka Female ghost ~
In the Slavie folklore of the Rusalka, this is where the female ghost or demon dwells in the lakes or waterways..
She could be considered a being of evil force. These ghostly figures that float about the dark gloomy lakes are the souls of young women who had died in the lake or near one.
The Rusalka is not invariably a malevolent but she will not be allowed to rest in peace until her death is avenged - This could be why these ghostly female spirit haunts these lakes. but according to legend most of these Rusalkas came to their deaths by a violent one so this is probably the reason why the haunting and sometimes turn into the darker more demon ghost within these lakes.
I hope you have enjoyed a bit of the different culture of Slavic Rusalka faerie... Wendy
