Last Summer Baby birds in my backyard-2013

Last Summer baby birds in my backyard - 2013
Last summer I noticed two small brown & white birds hanging
around my garden. I wondered what the commotion was all about,
when I watch the tiny birds dart back and forth from the big trees to my hanging basket of Ivy.
I was curious what could be in my basket of Ivy because it was very thick but, in the basket center it was empty. I decided to have a peek. So when the birds were away, which was tricky. I got our stool with my camera of course and slowly moved up toward the hanging basket. Then I carefully moved some of the Ivy so I could see if anything was there ?

I was pleasantly surprised...
I found 2 tiny eggs [bluest white] in a very well built nest. It was quite round and deep too. I took a few quick pictures before the mom and dad birds came back. And when they did they were very upset with me being so close to their nest and babies. I discovered later from my mom and two dear friends Paula and Cynthia that they were Northern Rough-wing Swallows.
I watch them for a few days and the nest. The next time I took a

peek at the tiny woven and intertwine nest, I saw three tiny...tiny...baby birds and two eggs [couldn't get a picture of that one!] plus two very protective Northern Swallows parents making lots of noise with bugs in their beaks.

I waited a few more days to a week after that to find all five baby birds had hatched. They were very cute, but very difficult to get pictures at this point. The two parent birds were always around. At least one was there protecting while the other was getting insects.
But there were moments when they were both would go out and that is how I was able to give you these amazing images.
The only thing was my Ivy that I've had for almost 7years
wasn't getting any water in the hot summer days and was dying.
I didn't like that part of this

whole journey with the Northern Swallow birds.
They did get bigger and bigger all five of the baby birds. It was
amazing how they all fit in that tiny nest. The last picture was
the last time I saw all five of the baby birds together.

I did see one or two learning to fly on the grass with one of the parents.
It was a fun experience. But after that I made sure they couldn't
make another nest in my Ivy basket again, so I could get the water it needed. to get it back to its beauty that it was.

The two adult Shallow Birds did hang around for a few weeks and
they did make one more nest in my Fusia hanging.
It was at the edge of the circular basket and it was very deep. It two had five baby birds as I remembered and that was the end of my summer experience of the Northern Rough winged Swallow birds.

They were fun, but I love Rosy  the hummingbird.

Phoenix❤❤☼ღ(◕‿◕。

Phoenix
The phoenix has been written about many times over this I do
know...But since it is such a fabulous bird in the Ancient legends,
Middle East and may have its origins in the Egyptian Bennu Bird, I thought I would add the Grand and Powerful Bird to my Collection of Magick Creatures.
I found in my research on the Phoenix it is also can be spelled, "Fenix." It is described I found in a few different  ways depending on what country you maybe to be in. For the Greeks, the Phoenix is described as looking somewhat like a pheasant in the shape, but larger than an eagle. Its plumage is mostly a
reddish - purple color. The Phoenix being purple with gold around its neck too.
Other accounts of the Grand Phoenix appearances say that it was purple and gold, red and Blue. This magnificent bird was said to be very rare, that no two birds of its kind would be alive at the same time.
It is said that the Phoenix the very first phoenix ~ came to us in the year 485-425B.C from a Greek writer Herodotus who related that as one bird died after 500 years of life, another would take it to the temple of the sun at Heliopolis for burial. I've have always found the Phoenix to be very fascinating. I hope

this history of the Phoenix is for you my Readers too! In continuing to the history of the Phoenix there were many other versions of the  origins of the Grand Bird;
1) Ovid and Pliny in 43BC - AD77 believed that the living Phoenix
constructed a nest of spices, upon which it incinerated itself.
From this the new re-birth phoenix emerges from the sorted maggot, when they finally developed to the progeny the bird took form from the ashes of the former bird in the nest to Heliopolis.
2) An even later version of the birth death and re-birth of the Phoenix states that it will construct its nest of spices and sang to the
sun god who filled the nest with fire. Which consuming the bird. From the ashes a entirely mature adult Phoenix emerges from the ashes taking the ashes of the altar at Heliopolis.

The final version that I could find were actually 2- The Phoenix was adopted into the symbolism of the resurrection of Christ - A
symbol of immortality. The Phoenix was also well established in the ecclesiastical repertoire and commentaries were made by Tacitus in AD 100 and Aelian AD 200. These all had now achieved a vastly stronger and larger Phoenix - Vast in size and much more luxurious in his coloring together with an estimated much longer life span  more than four solar years combined . Of course this is all different opinions ~ of the Grandest bird ever born in my opinion.

You the Readers of my blog have to decide your own opinion on what you think about this subject and the Phoenix. I hope that Ihave given you enough to think about it. And again I thank you all for reading my blog and coming tovisited all of you all over the world Wendy..

Ningyo Japanese Mermaid~
In the Japanese folklore they are called the Mermaid - Ningyo.
Unlike the European and Westerns who call them Mermaids. They are also a different kinda of creature in Japaneses culture compared to the European and Western Culture  too. In Japan the Ningyo is depicted as being an enormous fish but, with the head of a beautiful woman. Plus she is benevolent and very protective towards humans. They warn humans against misfortune on land and in the oceans and seas. They do not entice them into danger like her occidental counterparts. Note: These different folklore's are all up to a matter of opinion. I've just written the different cultures, myths, legends and folklore of the different counties.
The Traditional Mermaids are often seen sitting on rocks on the
edge of the ocean seashore. They are usually singing and enticing curious sailors to come closer to the dangerous rocks near the oceans shores. It is this singing that allies them to the sirens, luring sailors to their doom. Even the ancient accounts as well as the more modern ones, the appearance of these creatures will conjunction with misfortune and disaster.
Although there are a few regions - Scotland, Wales and Cornwall in
England where the Mermaid has been kind and benevolent towards humans when they have rescue humans from the oceans and give humans their great knowledge in herbal cures for fatal sickness, others have given humans rich gifts in gemstones and warned them of terrible storms that are coming.
It is also been heard of that a few of these Mermaids will marry a human. Their children will often have webbed feet and fingers. Yet these marriages never last very long. The mermaid usually will return to their watery world of the sea, where their men are called mermen.
There are some stories during the medieval period in Europe that considered the mermaid to be an  agent of the devil and a symbol of deceit, but I don't believe in that at  myself personally so I am not going to go further on that subject.
I have found that there is a rich history and tradition in folktales, songs and culture around the world with the Mermaid-
These places are such as;
The Bonito Maidens of the Solomon islands
The Saivo-Neita and Havfrue of Scandinavia
The Nakinneito of Finland
The Nakinein of Estonia
The Imanja & Jamaina from Brazil
The Margygr of Greenland
Ningyo of Japan.
I hope you Enjoy the legend of the Ningyo Japanese Mermaid
