Muhammad Ali'

Muhammad Ali' the Greatest Ever Lived
Who left a legacy of thrilling fights, Trashing
talk poetry that we all loved '& taking a stand
against inequality and WAR!
We will never forget - He will always
be in our Hearts...
Good Afternoon my dears & Welcome to my humble blog. Today is a day to remember a great man, who was also a humanitarian, stood up for his equal right & for all the people. And lastly He stood up to a war because of his religious believes. Muhammad Ali changed the sport of boxing...
The 74year old three time heavyweight champion wanted the
memorial service in a arena. [ I found he was very much part of his memorial service once it was time for him to meet his God. And he wanted to help his family from the hard burden and sadness of the plans yu have to make after a love one has passed. This shows how a deep and kindly man he was and that he will be truly missed]. He wanted multiple religions to have a voice while honoring the traditions of his Muslim faith. Ali also wanted ordinary fans to be able to attend, not just the VIPs. He was never downcast when talking about his death, said a spokesman for the Ali family. The spokesman recalled Ali's own words during the meetings on planning his own funeral; 'Its OK. We're here to do the job the way I want it. It's fine. says Ali.
It would seem that the final revisions were made days before Ali
had died, which was on Friday 3, 2016 with his family by his side.

For years, the plan was to have Ali's body lie in repose at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville. That tribute was dropped at the last minute because his wife Lonnie worried it would cause the center to be shut down and she knew people would want to gather there in grief. In its place, a miles-long procession was added that will carry Ali's body across his beloved hometown. Then it will drive past the museum that was built in Ali's honor, along the boulevard named after him - through the neighborhood where he grew up, raced bicycles and shadowboxed through the street as a young boy. In a city that is accustomed to capturing the world's attention for just two minutes during the Kentucky Derby each year, Ali's memorial service Friday looms as the most historic event in Louisville's history. There will be former presidents, heads of nations from around the globe, movie stars and sport greats will descend upon Louisville to pay final respects to the Louisville Lip of poems. "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee, your hands can't hit, what your eyes can't see."
"Its been a really bittersweet time for our city,' said the Mayor.

We've all been dreading the passing of the Champ, but at the same time we knew ultimately it would come. It would be selfish for anybody to think that he could live forever for all of us. The major of the city has said, it was the people of Louisville to send Ali off in first class with the respect and dignity that the Champ deserves and his family too. As for the A list-
President Bill Clinton, which was a longtime friend is going to deliver the eulogy at Ali's funeral at he KFC YUM! Center, where the 15,000 seats are likely to be filled.
There will be other speakers which will include representatives of
multiple faiths, including Islam, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism,
Mormonism and finally Catholicism.
After the speakers of multiple faiths, it will be followed by Ali's wife, daughter Maryun Ali, Billy Crystal, sportscaster Bryant Gumbel, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and finally the King Abdullah ll of Jordan. As I go through Ali's plans for his funeral I can seen how much he was truly involved with his last rights so that his family wouldn't be overwhelmed with all the details that Ali wanted.

He was a man that want everyone of all faiths to be able to say their goodbyes and the common folks just like you and I. Thank makes him a truly kind, loving and one for peace around the world of all faiths and people kinda man. I didn't meet him but I did see him in high school. More to come later. On this day before Ali's star-studded funeral, members of Ali's Islamic faith will get their chance to say a traditional goodbye to their friend.....Ali.
A Jenazah, a traditional Muslim funeral service, will be held at the freedom hall in Louisville at noon Thursday, it will be open to all!
Ali fought and won , his first professional fight was in this city in 1960. Gianotti said on Monday the Muslim funeral service was
'Critically important for the global Muslim community to say goodbye to their beloved champ. The inner circle that happened to help Ali with his funeral preparations were his attorney, business associate and his lovely wife. It would seem that Ali had when over the entire plan and signed it - certified it and approved it just weeks before the end. Ali's grave site will far more subdued, in contrast to his oversized personality in life. It will be a modest marker in accord with Muslim tradition which is planned by his attorney. As for what Ali words Ali wanted inscribed on his marker that won't be seen till all the funeral proceedings are done. Ali was born as Cassius Clay in Louisville, Kentucky on January 17, 1942. He began boxing at a young age of 12, after his new bicycle was stolen. After that day Ali vowed to a police officer that he would 'whup' the person who took his bike. And from that day he got help in the gym to become a boxer, and never left. As the days turned into weeks, then months to years, Ali became the 'Louisville Lip' with his charisma wit and charm.
He was quite possibly was the most famous person on the planet. Muhammad Ali would repeatedly prove this statement 'I am the greatest'. At the end of my post I will have a collection of his most famous quotes and a story of my own encounter with the Great Muhammad Ali.
Ali had a Incomparable career in the world of boxing. In fact he was one of the only boxers at the time that boxer all over the world and for that time it was quite amazing. However this was all Muhammad Ali doing. Ali had beat the seemingly unbeatable
Liston. Then he fought a few thrilling fights with Joe Frazier and he stopped the huge fighter George Foreman which was a big disappointment for Foreman. This fight was called
'Rumble in the Jungle' which was in Zaire, now the Democratic of the Republic in Congo. Ali
was the one who promoted the fight, by saying some of his famous quotes. 'You think the world was shocked when Nixon resigned. Wait till I whup George Foreman's behind'.

After the upset of Liston to win the heavyweight title in 1964. Ali had a huge announced to make he had just become a member of the Nation of Islam, which was a wildly unpopular

thing to do at the time in 1964. Ali said he was rejecting his 'Slave Name', -Cassius Clay, in favour of Muhammad Ali. Even more divisive among both the black and white Americans - Ali's had stood  against the Vietnam war. Ali said' I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong' however, he was still convicted of draft evasion, & sadly stripped of his title, banned from boxing for more than three years. Also he was reviled by many as a hero to some at the time and at the eulogies hard to remember the hatred that had come to such a kind soul.
Later the US supreme court overturned his conviction and granted him conscientious objector status. Ali after that traveled the world for Islam and many other causes. He met world leaders including Nelson Mandela an amateur boxer in his youth who was a great admirer.
Then when Ali traveled to the Philippines to meet the President of the country - Ferdinand Marcos' He said- ' I saw your wife. Your not as dumb as you look.'
As far as promoted Ali fights there was at least 26+ of them. 'They
say that he was the most transforming figure of all time. Why? well, he did a lot more that just boxing you know. Ali made more changes in race relations and the views of people than even Martin Luther King. It was an privilege and a honor for anyone I believe to be so lucky to either meet or be associated with him. I think this would be the best place for me to put my memory that I have of Muhammad Ali. I was lucky to meet him in high school. I really don't know if he was still alive if he would remember because he did so many kind things for young and for teenagers in the school system, in the late 70's .. Of course I am aging my self again. But that's ok. Its a wonderful memory for which I had wished my photographer for our yearbook new about, however it was a spring of the moment thought on Ali I believe. So there was no time for the office folks to try to keep as many students from going home before he arrived. All I do remember was the speaker came on very loud. Saying not to go to your five or 6period. And for you seniors and juiors that might be heading home for the day. There is a huge surprise guess that will be out on the school field. We cant tell you who it is but he is a legend. Well they made a ooppps so we knew a little. I didn't know where my sister was she was going to the same high school too. And my brother but I sure hoped they made it out here at the field.
It seemed that a lot of us decieded to check it out. the stands were getting full fast. So I started to run to get a set. As I did I saw a huge limo all black, with many other black big cars surrounding the limo coming into the school field. The stands were getting quite crazy with excitement. All were wondering who could this guess be. As I waited with everybody else and notice none had a camera I did have a good view. The limo settled down right in front of the stands.. There was a place for a person to stand and speak with a microphone. At first I didn't see who it was even though ever one else was screaming and cheering. Then I catch a glimp of who it was ... Yes it was Muhammad Ali who had come to my high school to have a speech for us on our future. I don't remember the speech but I do remember his kind words to all. He was there for almost 3hours and after that he stayed to answer as many questions as he could. That day will stay I my mind which isn't the easiest thing to remember things but Muhammad Ali I will always remember.

In the year 1984 at the age of 42 Ali was given a diagnosis of Parkinson's after retiring from the boxing ring. The doctors have debated whether the estimated 29,000 punches Ali took to the head in all those 61fights and the countless sparring sessions played apart to his Parkinson's. There was a unique tragedy in seeing the most beautiful, graceful and articulate of sportsmen robbed of his being able to walk easily, speak and those amazing facial expressions. Yeah, it never really stopped Ali.
In Atlanta in 1996, even though his hands were trembling from the Parkinson,he lit the Olympic torch. Later on Saturday, politicians, historians and sportspeople praise him, on his legacy and flair. Bill Clinton said,
'From the day he claimed the Olympic Gold Medal in 1960, boxing fans across the world knew they were seeing a blend of beauty and grace, speed and strength that may never be matched again.
We watched him grow from the brash self-confidence of youth and success into a manhood full of religious and political convictions that led him to make tough choices and live with the consequences. Along the way we saw him courageous in the ring, inspiring to the young, compassionate to those in need and strong and good humored in bearing the burden of his own health challenges.
The Rev Jesse Jackson, founder and president of the Rainbow Push
Coalition and a longtime friend, said 'He was a champion in the ring, but more than that, a hero beyond the ring. When champions win, people carry them off the field on their shoulders. When heroes win people ride on their shoulders. We rode on Muhammad Ali's shoulders.'
Ali met the Beatles in 1964 when the group flew to Miami to appear on the Ed Sullivan Show, Sir Paul McCartney said' I loved that Man'!!!
Ali is survived by his fourth wife the former Lonnie Williams who knew him when she was a child in Louisville - and his nine children. His funeral will take place in his hometown of Louisville, where flags were lowered to half mast on Saturday morning and flowers laid at the Muhammad Ali Center.
It would seem that Ali was once asked about his preferred legacy and his answer was this' I would like to be remembered as a man who won the heavy weight title three times, who was humorous and who treated everyone right. 'As a man who never looked down on those who looked up to him...who stood up for his beliefs...who tried to unite all humankind through faith and love. And if all that's too much, then I guess I'd settle for being remembered only as a great boxer who became a leader and a champion of his people. And I wouldn't even mind if folks forget how pretty I was'

Ali's legendary career stretched from 1960-1981, with dazzling fans with slick moves in the ring and outside the ring. Also his amazing wit and engaging persona. 1-Ali took part also in great historic bouts as the Rumble in the Jungle fight which was in Kinshasa, Zaire in 1974 against George Foreman. 2-There was another highlighted fight in in Manilla, that included a two knock-outs of Sonny Liston and his epic rivalry with Joe Frazier. 3-Before Ali turned professional he won the light heavyweight gold in Rome Olympics when he beat Australia's Tony Madigan.
Other interesting facts about the legend-
Once vilified in some quarters for his conversion to Islam and his outspoken stance on civil rights issues, Ali held firm to earn dozens of tributes, lighting the Olympic torch in 1996 in Atlanta and being named a UN messenger of peace in 1998.
He then received the highest US civilian honour, the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005. "Muhammad Ali transformed this country and impacted the world with his spirit.
Even our President Barack Obama reflected on Ali 'Know as a man who fought for what was right not just inside the ring but outside it as well.'

AFANC MAGICK CREATURE

Afanc Magick Creature of Wales-
Afance Creature of Wales
Good afternoon my dearest friends & followers. For today post I am going to bring you to the world of Welsh folklore. This creature lives in the lakes of wales & is descripted many different ways in the Welsh folklore they say...
Some say the creature could be a dwarf, beaver, crocodile and even sometimes said to be
a demon. However, the favorite of the Welsh is depicted as a large frog with claws on all limbs. The Afanc will sometimes have magick powers and have been known to be able to speak Welsh too. It is said the afanc was a monstrous creature that would prey upon anyone that was foolish enough to fall or to swim in the lakes which are warned not to swim in. The most common tale that surrounds the Afanc creature, is a town that was plagued with these carnivourous creatures at a enormous scale. So much so that the people of wales had to resolve it only if they couldn't kill the Afanc's creatures but that to was impossible. So they came up with one solution if they can't kill these carnivourous creatures, they shall take them to another lake away form them. Sounds impossible Eh! well, what they did was is employ the Afanc's one and only weakness. This happens to be a beautiful woman who can lure the Afanc to sleep upon her lap. After she has done this, the villagers then bind the Afanc with magical chains & use two oxen to drag the creature across to the next lake that they found where no-one will be harmed.
The brave woman, has many tales on of these relates after the creature was bound in chains & awakened it was furious. It was enraged and was thrashing  & crushed the maiden in whose lap it still lay. Another version was that the poor maiden breasts were bitten off. Still after much effort the beast was finally dragged off the poor maiden to the lake Cwm Ffynnon. As for the names or who these young maidens were that gave their lives for this task, it was never reviled. I could only guess that they might be maidens of poor villages that would say it would be a honor for their daughter to save the town or entire villages for their daughter sacrifice . I think a lot of that kinda thing happened in those ancient times of wales, Scotland and England too.
Besides the Lake Cwm Ffynno the Afanc is said to live in a number of different lakes in Wales such as Lake llyn, Lake Llion, Lake Llyn Barfog, & Lake Llyn-y-Afanc which bares its name. As I have said above too there are many tales that involving the creature Afanc. It is described as a fearsome beast, which kills and eats its victims who enters or falls near its watery domain. The Afanc can also cause flooding and mass drowning in the areas they live too. I hope you found the creature of Wales, the Afanc interesting .. I hope you all have a wonderful day

Much love and kindness to you all
Your friend always ....Wendy

Polar Vortex

Polar Vortex-
Good Afternoon my dearest friends & followers, welcome to my humble blog. I hope that you all are having a lovely afternoon. Today I am going to talk about are major problems in the climate change all around the world. First post was about Florida and the problems they will face with the rising seas.
Today 'the Polar Vortex'. It all seem to start in the first month of January of 2014 when our nation was divided by either hot verses very cold weather, 'The Polar Vortex' as they call it. This has been the big story for the last 2years and it doesn't seem like its slowing down to the year of January 2016. The polar vortex for the eastern half of the country has made record lows between 5-11 below 0 degrees and that doesn't even count Canada eastern area. [ you can check it out on the gift that I found] While, the ridiculously resilient ridge has brought warm, dry weather to most of the other states west of the Rockies. It seems like these record temperatures have been set off by both ends of the spectrum in January across the US. Its preliminary numbers indicate that 2,387 daily records were set for the lowest daytime highs while 793 days were set during the highest daytime highs through January 30, of 2014 for a start. Notable record lows from the first Arctic blast including mobile, AL which topped out at 35F on January 7, 2014. Also in Orlando, FL which saw a high of 48F that same day!
There were monthly record lows too! that set records on that same day a number of locations - From Arkansas to Wisconsin. However, the coldest record set was a bone chilling record was -18F in Laona WI. As the Polar Vortex continued its Frezze, there was teeth chattering east of Mississippi - However, the Sunglasses, t-shirts were out in numbers in the West, especially in California, Oregon and Nevada. At the San Francisco International Airport on the 15th hit a all-time high for the month of January at the station when the mercury hit 73F and went on to tie the newly set record the very next day. The Polar Vortex continue to attack- in the Farther inlands of Sacramento it hit a high of 79F on January 24, 2014. That's was 2F shy of the all-time January record high in Sacramento CA. There were other area's that were effected by the Polar Vortex-the monster west ridge and this was Alaska. There were record high temperatures being set there.
In Port Alsworth, AK, the temperature reached 62F on January 27,2014. This ties the official January Alaska record. Overall, the monthly records echo what could be in our future. There have been 44 monthly record highs and 16 monthly high minimum temperatures to date in January of 2014.
During the course of the last 60 monthly report the low maximum temperatures has marked the US with six monthly records lows.
This is only the beginning of the polar vortex'. Sadly we are probably going to see more of his same kinda strange climate change in the next couple of years along with more rising seas and more sever weather too. The only thing that we can do is be really a possible.

JapaneseTsukumogami-Spirit

JapaneseTsukumogami-Spirit
A Tsukumogami friend spirit
Good evening my dears & welcome to my humble blog...Tonight I'm going to bring you all back to the ancient world of Japan. I found a new magick creature of Japan. This is the Tsukumogami- 付喪神-'The Artifact spirit, which is a type of Japanese spirit. According to this Japanese Spirit, the Tsukumogami-emaki which is another name for the Japanese spirit. Its origin is from items or artifacts that have reached their 100th birthday. When this happens, the object become alive & is aware that its a live ghost-spirit, hence they become a live spirit 'a Tsukumogami-emaki. So any objects of this age, like the Japanese swords, old fans etc. become a Tsukumogami Spirit. These Tsukumogami are considered spirits & supernatural beings as opposed to enchanted items. It is said that modern items cannot become a Tsukumogami-emaki; the reason for this is that the tsukumogami are said to be repelled by electricity. Also, there are only a few modern items that are used for the 100year-span that it takes for an artifact to gain a soul.
As for the appearance of these spirits they can vary. It really depends on the type of item they originated from as well as the condition that the item was in. Some, such tsukumogami originate from paper lanterns, broken sandals which have tears & become eyes and have sharp teeth, thus giving a horrifying visage. Other, such as worn as prayer beads or teacups may merely manifest faces & appendages, giving a warm friendly appearance. Though by and large the spirit Tsukumogami are usually harmless and at most tend to play occasional pranks on unsuspecting victims,
They do however, have the capacity for anger and will band together to take revenge on those who are wasteful or those who throw them away thoughtlessly. Being the fact that these spirits are over a hundred years old one could see why. To prevent his from happening, to this day some jinja ceremonies, such as the Hari Kuyo are performed to console broken and unusable items that may have turned into a tsukumogami spirit. As I research the Japanese tsukumogami-spirit there seemed to be several layers to the tsukumogami-spirit. For one, in the tenth century, the tsukumogami spirit were used in helping spreading the 'doctrines of the Shingon Esoteric of Buddhism to a variety of Audiences-ranging from the educated to the relatively unsophisticated by capitalizing upon pre-existing spiritual beliefs in the Tsukumogami-Spirit.

The tsukumogami are animate household objects that after a service of nearly one hundred years-tsukumogami receives souls. These objects can be anything from containers, tools and instruments of the time of 100years ago. So by the 12th century the tsukumogami had entered into the Japanese popular culture to such an extent that the Buddhist teaching had been 'completely lost to most outsiders'. As for the tsukumogami-spirit it was only the people of japan the believe in the tradtions of these types of spirits. Even today there are many different kinds of folklore, myths and legend but the people of japan still believe in many of their spirits or ghost traditions of long ago into modern day. I hope that you found this tradition of the

Japanese tsukumogami-spirit interesting, I sure did.
I love you all my dearest friends and followers

Florida and the Rising Sea

-Florida & the Rising Sea-
Map from Climate Central
This is one of many post that I am going to do for you 'all my
dears to keep you all inform about are growing problems around
the world of Globe warming and rising seas. I hope that you my dear
followers and friend will be interested in my post about these subjects
I feel that they are important to all of us around the world
wendy....
Sadly the states that are either in the light Grey or the Orange
will see the worst surging seas.
I happen to be in the Grey area of Washington state-California where all my family is!
Some of the worst states are that of NY, NJ, CT, MA, NH ME & RI on the East coast
And in Florida Its Jacksonville, Tampa, and Miami. And basically the
entire tip of the Florida keys. As for Hawaii well I have a huge family there
and I am very worried about the islands there too.
Sadly the title is very true & has been for many years. I've
known this for many years, its just know one believed me when I would do my many post on the different websites over the years before I decided to leave it all for my own space on my blog. however I still get many invites to many different websites, to come and join again. So I say thank you but no thank you. This is my place for as long as my mind can think and write. As you all probably know my dearest friends and followers I have written about almost everything but mostly the world of the unseen the Fairy World. However I am also very concern about the modern world too! Being that I have a 16 year old and many nieces and nephew's here on the main land and on the islands of Hawaii too. This is why I have started to do a few post on Climate Change again. Even though Trump doesn't believe he has a rude awaking in about 20-30 years. Sadly the folks that will be effected by it will not be people like him. As of now we have already lost a couple of islands with hundreds of people that were living on them. And there are so many endangered as of now to be sweep under the risings seas in just a few years. Really people don't know how many islands are out there that are being shallow up every year with hundred to thousands of people on the islands. When our State the US becomes in trouble well, that means that the islands around the world have lost so many islands and people and endanger animals +pets that it will be very hard to even put a number count on the lost of live both human and animals. I found this article a while back. It was in the Miami Herald Florida(with Ben strauss who did the first article on the subject) talking about how climate change is going to effect us all. But mostly the people in Miami. It went on to say how, the population in Florida has gotten so crowded along the coastline that its porous bedrock that once was part of the coastline is slowly being eaten away by relatively common occurrences however it is moving faster that your usual tropical storms. Its because of the enormous real estate that is being built on the beaches of all of Florida. So that they are loosing their natural bedrock that would normally protect them from the sea surges. I really don't thing the folks of Florida or at least most of them realize they are putting themselves at a terrible risk from the huge storm surges that will be aggravated by rising sea lives in their state of Florida than any other state other than maybe Hawaii. It is said that some 2.4million+people & 1.3million homes- mind you this number could be much higher today, and in 10 years from now. Nearly half of these folks are at risk nationwide, Why? because they all sit within 4feet of the local high tide line in Florida.
An very large piece of the Antarctica sheet Ice that has
broke off that very well bring the seas up to 5 feet higher once
it has melted.
You see the sea levels will rise more than double the risk of a usual surge at this level in Southern Florida by the year 2030. And that isn't that far away. We are almost upon 2020...Also folks don't realize it but the Ice in Greenland, Russia, Artic, and Antarctica Ice are melting at a scary rate. In Greenland the glaciers are almost gone same for the Artic.

The grey area's in the Antartica are
area's of melting and area's of old ice that is
breaking off that is very thick.
As for the Antarctica Ice enormous sheets of ice from the last Ice age have been breaking off the main ice and melting into the ocean. These 4 Ice related things are building up to the age of the rising seas - very high seas. These maps should show you all the coming doom of the end of the ice age and the being of the very high rise of the seas and not so much land mass. For the hundreds of thousands of Floridians and growing numbers everyday who hold 30-year mortgages, that date is not far off in our future. Then the seas are going to start rolling into the coastlines everywhere in the world  very high and take everything in its path with it. Another very huge problem in our rising seas is the thanks to Global Warming. Lots of folks don't believe that our worlds oceans are rising due to global warming but sadly it has been the truth for many many years. It has just gotten worst in the last 10years all over the world. I will give you a example;
on an average global seas levels have gone up about 8 inches since 1880.
In South Florida, I found an interesting faxed, it would seem that the taxpayers are already paying the price for climate change as salt water is pushing through the porous bedrock into their coastal drinking water supplies, and also their rivers & canals that are choked by heavy rains. This makes it harder four the draining system to get back into the ocean. It would seem that Florida is realizing the gravity to the problems to their state. So at Florida Atlantic University they did a recent study to estimated just how much the sea is rising in Florida. What they discovered in their studies was that a estimate of six inches or more of sea level rising would be very much plausible within the next two decades - And if this would happen just the 6inches it would cripple about half of South Florida's flood control capacity.
The biggest problem with Climate Central and why they are so concern is the low lands of areas of the world. Its not happening now or at least here in the states [although we are having terrible flooding so that could be just as bad at times]. In other parts of the world the rising seas very much could be happing already. but we hear in the states need to get ready because when it does come it will come very fast and strong with no warning. Overall, the sea level rise is making the odds of a South Florida flood reaching more than 4-6 feet above high tide, by 2050 on par with the odds of losing at Russian roulette, it could very much take the entire have part of Florida, it really depends on how much ice truly melts.  More that half  the population of Florida's 100 towns and cities live on land below than 4feet below sea level. So that should tell you a lot. It would seem that Miami-Dade & Broward Counties each have more people that live below the 4foot level than any other state in the US, except Florida itself and Louisiana too. Just how vulnerable any area is depends on many elements. The analysis factored is not only local sea level rise projections, but its also the storm-surge patterns and the tides too. The people of Florida have made a few attempts to better inform for the local folks, businesses and planners who live and work near the coastline. They have mapped and evaluated the risk towns in areas of 3,000 towns, cities and counties across the lower 48states, including South Florida. An free Zip code-searchable map with neighborhood views and risk information at SurgingSeas.org. Among or key national finding; Global warming has already
doubled or tripled the odds of extreme high water events over a widespread areas of the US coastline. This widespread areas are likely to see storm surges that could reach at least 5 feet but it could be even higher one never knows with mother nature. We have been abusing her for so many years that these 4feet to 5feet could slam us with numbers that could paralyze us. At any rate they will surge above the normal high tide by at least 2030 if not sooner.
And in in 2050 who knows what is going to happen. In the US nearly 5 million US residents currently live on land less than 4 feet above sea level or above high tide. and even more than 6million on land less that 5feet above. That alone is over 11million us people. that are living on the edge of a disaster that is just waiting to happen- its just a matter of time not when. Sea level rising is happing all the time around the world and the increasing flooding threats everywhere. The more you look at it, the more it becomes even greater than most people realize and really don't know what to expect. I am just thankful that most of my family is living high above the sea level. And I pray by that time we will be too.
Another problem that has cause us to get us to where we are today is the swift cuts in greenhouse gas pollution which has significantly reduce the sea level and has in present day cause pollution in the seas. We should prepare for higher seas and stronger storms both during the winter and summer months. Sadly in South Florida where the porous limestone that makes their building effective sea walls or the levees to protect them from the sea surge it is almost impossible to stop the sea surge now with the high seas that are coming. The only thing that I could say to help is to go to high ground. The rising seas are coming it is just a matter of time. And you don't want to be caught in that water by surprise ...
The time to act is now!
Well, I hope I was able to help
a few love you all my dears
your friend always
Wendy.
