Centaurs-

Good Morning my dears, And welcome to my humble blog. Today we are going into the Magick World  of the Centaurs. The Centaurs lived in a region called Pelion in Magnesia, a coastal region in Central Greece. They can be either female or male.They have a head, torso and arms of either a man or woman & the body and legs of a horse. Centaurs are very large in size. However, the Male Centaur is much larger than the female Centaur. As I have said earlier the Magick Centaur are part human part horse beings. First I thought I would give you a bit of history of the Centaur, then I will go into the myth's of the Magical Creature of the Greeks. Centaurs are said to be the children of Ixion and Nephele. The tale kinda goes like this...Ixion fell in love with Queen Hera, and tried to rape her, but she reported his to her husband the King Zeus, who decided to test his wife's testimony to him. For this purpose, the God Zeus made a Cloud resembling the Queen Hera. Zeus laid the Cloud that look like like Hera beside Ixion to see what he would do. So when Ixion awaken seeing Hera beside him and then started to go around the kingdom boasting that he had enjoyed the company overnight of the Queen Hera. This of course didn't sit well, with the all powerful Zeus who bound Ixion to a large wheel, on which he is whirled into the winds by Zeus. The cloud, that Zeus made of Hera that lay beside his wife and queen gave birth to the Centaurs when Zeus consorted with the Magnesian Mares, the Centaurs were born. However, Diodorus said at the time that the Centaurus were the sons of Apolo and Stilbe, daughter of the River God Peneus. The Thessalian river flows from the foot of Mount Pindus and Creusa. There is another version or saying about the CENTAURS thus we are 'Like the Mother below, the Father above'. There are others that say the Centaur was born directly from the Cloud that Zeus created. From that tale in Greek times, there is also Greek

Mythology where it is said that the Centaurs had one father known with the name Ixion, who was one of Ares sons. Ixion killed the father of his wife, but Zeus took pity on him and forgave his acts after some time. However, in order to do so, as I had said above Zeus had to test him. As a result of the test he failed as he tried to seduce the Queen Hera and mating many others in the Kingdom of Gods. Resulting in the making of many of his Children that they Called Centaurs. Others say that the Centaurus mated with the Magnesian Mares. One never really knows, how these amazing creatures came about so many Centuries ago.

Good or Bad Reputations in
Greek History-
It would be a huge mistake if I didn't go into the history of the Centaurs. You see not all centaurs were good in the day of the Greeks. Some of them were very bad others were very good. The Good Centaurs that were actually pretty famous in the Greek Mythology and History. These Centaurs aimed to find harmony in Nature. The first on of these Centaurs was Cheion, who was a scholar who loved harmony in nature, learned many things about medicine within nature, the arts, philosophy and the liberal Arts too. Cheion also learned about disciplines and the sciences that were usually irrelevant with the Centaurs.

However Cheion was very different than most Centaurs. He was mostly know as the tutor of the God Apollo. Also as a advisor to many people and deities such as Peleus was Cheion whom he also advised t marry the Goddess Thetis. Although the Goddess was resisting the wedding at first, she decided to marry Peleus and gave birth to the Hero Achilles.

was Pholos-
Pholos happened to be a friend of Heracles. Pholos allowed
Heracles to stay with him and gave him a grand feast in his fancy cave. In this cave Heracles asked for wine and the best food; And of course Pholos opened his Jars of his Best wine for his friend Heracles, however the two friends had no idea they were being watch by hundreds of jealous drunk wild Centaurs who wanted all that Pholos was giving to the God Heracles. Besides they could smell the wine and food being that they were have beast. So when the Centaurs though the timing was just right about a hundred of them attacked the two friends inside the cave, where they were just sitting and realizing, enjoying their company and the fine feast and good wine. other. The battle was ferocious and many of the centaurs and humans men were either killed or injured. On of the main Centaurs that was seriously hurt was their beloved Cheiron. He was so badly wounded that he wished to die even though he was immortal. It was a very sad day in the Kingdom of the Gods - Prometheus Heard the cries of the Beloved Cheiron and then offered him to die and gave him his immortality. Indeed the Centaur did died laving Prometheus being eternally alive. A gif that shows the kindness of Cheiron soul even at his death bed, surrounded by people that loved him dearly. There were only a few images to pick from the death of Cheiron however, I hope I pick the the most graces one I could find, for the most special and kindle Centaur of all time.
Now as for the Second known Good Centaur named Pholos. I am sorry wasn't able to find any photos, drawings, painting of any kind in the Greek Mythology. I don't really understand that but there wasn't much written about him either so who is to say what is the truth about this Centaur named Pholos. All that I do know about this Centaur Pholo is and what he is most famous for is the Centauromachy, which means to the Centaurs of the bad nature. So I guess he wasn't the most kindle of sort of Centaur like that of our honor Cheiron - I am guessing? You see they or Pholos and his Centaurs had grand wars against the Lapiths. This is not a Good quality in my opoion, its more of a bad one. It would seem that the Centaur Pholos and others in his group attempted to Carry off the Hippodamia& and the rest of the Laith besides the Wars between the Lapiths& the

Centaurs. The Centaurs with the Bad reputation, were said to be extremely heavy drinkers of wine and were usually depicted as beasts. Probably because they were so unpredictable and wild. Some of the Centaurs would often be so drunk& violent, they would eat raw flesh while drinking too much wine. These Creature also had a very bad reputations in Greece as being extremely violent towards women and other people but mostly women both human and their own. It is said that there were numerous myths and stories about centaurs violating women in the Greek mythology. One of these tales  refers to a Centaur by the name of Nesus who tried to rape Heracles wife Deianeira.
However, Deianeira, not only managed to defend herself from the Nesus Centaur but she was also able to kill the centaur too! In the last moments before his death, Nessus tried to excuse himself and gave the wife Deianerira a love drug that she used to seduce her husband Heracles. However, one should never trust a Centaur that is trying to rape you from a God son. The love drug was actually poison a very strong and painful one. Heracles had suffered so terribly from this poison that he decided to throw himself into the flames to die rather than to suffer the agony. of the effects of the poison. [note I really don't know what happened after that if what was the end of our beloved hero Heracles.] As for more history on the Centaurs, they were thought to carry bows & arrows and had very short tempers. I don't know if this was with both male and female of just the male after drinking to much. Also most Centaurs are said to be Good. And work against Evil. Its just a few fallen ones that fall between the cracks . So there you have the history of the Centaurs both good/bad. At the end of this post I will put a few of the images that I did find which I hope you all will enjoy.

BASILISK

Basilisk-

Good afternoon my dears, as promised I an much different post. I have a Magick Critters today
And this one is about the Basilisk which I remember very much in my favorite books Harry Potter books. I don't know if any of you out there are fans of the 8 book series but the Basilisk did play a part in one of the books.
The Basilisk has appeared in various forms throughout history. This Mythology & Magical Creature has also been In many different forms too! I have known the Basilisk only as the enormous snake that can turn anyone to stone if one see the Basilisk through a mirror. However it is also very deadly too! If you happen to look into its eyes you will died or if his craws get into your skin the poison will kill you in moments too. In this post I will try to write a little bit about each various form that the Basilisk has been throughout history + I will try to find images of the different various too. The Basilisk has appeared in various forms throughout ancient history many times over. 1-It got its start as a small crowed snake that had the ability to kill with its lethal poison and evil gaze. The poison was said to be so lethal, it left a wide trail of venom in its wake. 2-Lather in the medieval times, travelers would described the Basilisk as a much larger, fire breathing creature, with a terrifying roar. 3-The description of this Magick creature kept changing with the ages even further, creating a Rooster-with a serpents tail and occasionally dragon wings.[this show similarities with the cockatrice, however there is one difference that make them two very different creatures - The Basilisk is said to be hatched from the egg of a rooster, then incubated by a toad, while the birthing process of the Cockatrice is vica versa to the Basilisk - A toad's egg hatched by a rooster Hmm makes since Eh???????????
4-Another type of the Basilisk has been make up as part lizard, with a roosters head, the tail of a serpent and eight chicken legs. This one lead to its looks in the popular culture making it a even large as time went on, six or eight - legged lizard armed with a petrifying gaze too!
The tales about the basilisk and the mirror really do exist, however it can be slayed by other various methods. It is also vulnerable to the Cockcrow of a Rooster. This belief lead to travelers carrying roosters for self protection. It is said that the basilisk can be stopped by the odor of a weasel. Interesting I thought myself. They say that villagers will throw a weasel in a pit that is near
dying vegetation. This is in hope that they will get rid of the beast -Basilisk-. The weasel itself usually kills the basilisk on its own as well by urinating on the beast, but this almost always leads to the death of the weasel too!
More Facts about the Basilisk-

I found it very interesting that the Magical Creature basilisk can only be a male, never a female. It might be for reasons of its receptacle of venom and destructive qualities - also that it is so evil that it cannot gaze animals to death it turns to plants, withering them anywhere it goes. This could be the reason that it is a male and that it can only be a male. However, being a educated woman I know that there is a lot of evil in this world. Sadly there is many of women out there that are probably just as evil as the Creature the Basilisk as there are men. I don't think when he was created decades ago that 'they ever would come across some of the women in the modern world that would be just as evil.
They also said the Basilisk is believed to be the most poisonous creature ever lived, there are tales where the basilisk was killed by a spear from horse-back, but sadly the poison flowed upward and killed both the man and the horse too! Its presence is so tainting that not only herbs will die of its terrible breath, but stones will shatter as well. The basilisk's venom is so strong, that upon drinking from a well, that was once polluted from it centuries ago, it still will bring death to anyone that drinks from it.

Now as for the Healing powers of the Phoenix tears to save one if  were to have the poison of a
basilisk like that of the stories in Harry Potter? Well, I do love the stories however, as the truth to the
Phoenix tears and to that part of the story. I had a look and sadly I couldn't find anything but Harry

Potter stuff. So a warning that part might not be true. The only way to find out truly is to as J.R. Rowling or a historian that knows a lot about the subject. The reason is that the phoenix only lived in Arabia or occasionally Heliopolis. Although if you would like to do your own search, I would love to hear from you if you get any info on the subject.

Yuki Onna - The Water Begger

Good Afternoon my dearest Friends & Followers and welcome to the last of my post's
of the Yuki Onna of Japan. I will of course do other legends of Japan but I think I will move on from
the legend of the Yuki Onna. The last of the legend Is the Yuki Onna - The Water Begger.
My you all my dears that there may and probably are more of the legend of the Yuki Onna,
its just these are the ones that I could find. The image Is that of the old style of Japan. I will try to find others if I can. The Water Beggar - Yuki onna Travels on the wind, and will appear on days with a light snowfall. She walks through the small towns swinging a white Gohei wand shouting 'Please give me Water - Hot or Cold!' to anyone she meets. If you give the Yuki Onna  Cold water, she will swell-up is size. If you give her hot water, she melts and disappears all together. So the moral to this legend is, if you ever incounter the Yuki Onna - The Water Begger, it is always best to find Hot water to give her so that she will melt and disappear. This way no-one will be harmed. If she is given Cold water well, you never know how much she will swell-up in size. It could be just a little or huge and then the entire town could be in harms way.

YUKI ONNA THE MOON PRINCESS

Yuki Onna - The Moon Princess-

Hello, once again my dears I am on a roll today I hope you find my post interesting
for this post I am going to talk about the Yuki Onna-the Moon Princess. In this tale of the
legends of the Yuki Onna, the Moon Princess was once a princess of the lunar World, and lived
on or in the Moon. Her life was full of luxury and indulgence - however to her it was
extremely boring. The Moon Princess became fascinated just looking at the world below her,
wondering what it was like. What kinda people lived there and mostly what it looked like too.
So one dark night she decided to have a look so she snuck out of her beautiful castle and then she
fell down to Earth, traveling on the snow. However, coming down was much easier than going back
up to her beloved home in the moon. The Yuki Onna tried so hard to get home and know one could
hear her cry's for help because she was so far away from the moon now. The Moon Princess became stuck on Earth. But on very snowy nights the full moon would appear pining for her old home.
I found this one to be a lovely tale I hope you enjoy it too.

Yuki Onna- The Snow Vampire-

Good Afternoon my dearest friends & followers I have a much lighter post for you all
This is my on going legends of the Yuki Onna of Japan. For today I am going to
explore the Yuki Onna - the Snow Vampire- I hope you enjoy the post-Wendy.
The Yuki Onna -Snow Vampire Is from Aomori,

Nigata & Miyagi. This Yuki Onna may look nice at first but don't be deceived by her looks. She is the most terrifying of all the Yuki-Yokai, This is why my dears. I show you a nice drawing first but I will show her true form too! The Snow Vampire - Yuki Onna haunts the snowy forests looking to feed. Yes, just like any over Vampire, however she is a little different. She lives by sucking-seiki-精気, the vital energy of the human body. She extracts the seiki by first freezing her victims to death, then sucking their souls out through their mouths. This type of the Yuki Onna is particularly nasty in Nigata, where it is said  these monsters prefer the soul-seiki of young children. So it is very wise if you happen to live or visit Japan it the areas of heavy winters, beware of the legend of the Yuki Onna the Snow Vampire. The legends of Japan my self I very much listen to being that my husband is full 3th generation Japanese. Sadly we have yet, another Airliner down with 66 souls/and the grew, with no reason why other than the scary thought that it might be terrorist. And the love-ones that have once again lost many family members, that have to go on some how? Someway? It seems to be a growing trend around the world that has to be STOP! To many souls have be terrorist in the skis, airports, & in public places where we should be save. I feel for these people in the plane. The terror they most of felt before they relized that this is it. Then the families that some have loss up to 2 to 5 members of their family. We must work together as a nation. Help the other countries with their Airport Security. It seems that other world countries don't have the Airport Security that some of the bigger power house country has and that has to be fix if we are to stop these terrorist. I feel the only way is to work together as a nation of people around the world to stop these terrorist so this I pray doesn't happen again.
My dearest friends & followers I really don't do these kinda post very often but the photo of the man just broke my heart, the sadness that I felt when I saw him with a friend trying to comfort him and the caption of the loss he had suffered from this act of Terrorist just made me want to tell his story and all the people of Cairo who are suffering now! Wendy....
This is what they know as of now...
On May 19 radar contact was lost with the EgyptAir flight MS804, traveling from Paris to Cairo over Egyptian airspace. Panos Kammenos, Greece's defense minister said: "The plane turned a 90 degrees left and a 360-degree turn to the right' before falling more than 20,000 feet [6,700m] then disappearing from radar. 
Looking for Clues-
They are in the process of looking for any kinda clues that may have brought down the EgyptAir Jet down. Mostly for clues to whether it was terrorist that brought the airliner down. Investigators have been poring over the passenger list and questing ground crew members at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, from which the plane took off.
More Clues- the aircraft had been cruising at a normally speed in clear skies at a nighttime flight to
Cairo early Thursday when it suddenly lurched left, then right, spun all the way around and sadly plummeted [this as ranged for 20,000 feet to 38,000 feet or 11,582meters]into the sea, never issuing a distress signal. Probably because they didn't have a chance too. They were trying their very best to control the plane so that it wouldn't go down into the sea.
There is a huge search of many crews that are scouring for further wreckage of the aircraft. Experts of course of stated their opoion on the matter. However their answers will come only with an examination of the wreckage and the plane's cockpit voice and flight data recorders, commonly known as the black box. However this might be difficult since some have said the plane has gone down in a area of the Mediterranean that is over 10,000 deep and is very hard to get to by ships.
There are Planes & Vessels from Egypt & five other countries looking-
This countries are: Greece, Britain, France, United States & Cyprus.
This counties are continuing their search in a very wide area of the eastern Mediterranean on Saturday, a day after the Egyptian military found debris from the passenger jet in the sea 180 miles [290 kilometers] north of the Egyptian port city of Alexandria. It will be a bit difficult as I had said earlier because the waters in the area are up to 8,000 to 10,000 feet deep [2,440 to 3,050meters] and the pings from the black boxes can be detected up to a depth of 20,000 feet [6 kilometers].
Then on Saturday the Egyptian military released a few photos of the debris they found from flight EgyptAir 804 - It would appear to show the heavily damaged remains of plane seats, life jackets, one seemed undamaged, pink blanket or sleeping bag. Later they issued a video that showed more debris that included what appeard to be a piece of blue carpet, seat belts, a shoe and what looked to be a white hangbag.
As of now the Egyptian Authorities believe that it was a act of terrorism. There are may theory's but the fact is that 66 souls have be lost plus the crew. And the families that were waiting for them at the airport, well they never came. So If I was them I too would believe it was a act of terrorism Sadly because this has happened to many times and to blame it as a equipment failure is just will I have no words for that statement.
They are having a look at the Paris Airport, Many of the passengers were mostly Egyptian queued for the afternoon EgyptAir flight to Cairo with flight crew and pilots passing through the security post to have their luggage canned. Checks were thorough but there were no overt signs of extra security in the waiting area as the passengers boarded normally. Note: a team of French security officials did enter the plane and walked through the aisle before take-off.
In Paris, the French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said on Saturday that he and other officials including the representatives of Paris Aeroport, the French prosecutor, EgyptAir & the Egyptian Ambassador to Paris - had met with about 100 family members to express 'Our profound compassion' over the crash.
Sadly more garbage keep pops up adrift in the Mediterranean Sea. Showing that it is true that the EgyptAir flight MS804 went down. Nearby, another passenger seat from the plane, Scraps of metal, scattered personal belongings and then finally the grim discovery of human remains.
The question still remains...
What Happened? Why would a plane with good safety record and experienced pilots fall from the sky on a clear spring night?
No bulk wreckage has been found, & the parts of the aircraft most likely to provide clue for
investigators - including the voice and data recorders - are also the ones most likely to quickly sink to the deepest parts of the seafloor. And as they have all said sadly it could be up to 20,000 to 38,000 feet deep which makes it very hard to get too.
It would seem this times were very important to the flight-[by Mr. Mann]
-At 2:26am a message indicated that the right cockpit window had been opened-This could have been done to vent smoke, or something else could have caused the breach.
-Over the next 2mins there were two smoke indications-one in a bathroom & another in the
avionics bay, the part of the plane where much of its electronic equipment is house.
-These message don't necessarily mean that there was a fire, it could also have been prompted by rapid decompression of the aircraft, which can produced by condensation that the plane's sensors could have mistaken for smoke.
-At 2:29 there was 2 more alerts having to do with the plane's flight control computer systems
 -These last 2messges were the most troubling they said. Why, because of the rapidly degrading of things.
-1 There was a problem with the autoflight control computer-The plane would have been flying near its maximum speed and the elevation at that the time.
-2 the last message had to do with the spoiler elevator controller, which essentially controls the flaps
responsible for the pitch and roll control.
This is also the moment the plane left the Greek airspace at 2:29 am The Greek controllers lost the plane trace just inside Egyptian airspace about halfway between Crete and Egypt. Around this time is when the scary stuff happen for the people of flight MS804. Around this same time the plane made that scary 90-degree turn to the left and then a full circle to the right, After that all we can do is estimate the dropping precipitously to 15,000 feet to 38,000 feet then again to 9,000 feet before it disappeared from radar. The crew never gave any indication of a technical problem or other difficulties on board, even during the final fatal minutes when the plane itself was transmitting data indicating a catastrophic failure. however, as I said earlier in my post they may had no time too! the crew was probably trying their best to help the passengers and the safe their lives over a message.
There are so many theory's of what may of happened. I pray that we will find out for the peace and mind of the families of the loved ones that were loss in that flight.
They are saying that the most valuable part of finding out what happen might be far more difficult to recover since the plane probably sunk to the seafloor very quickly. Another Idea is, if the debris is scattered over a wide area on top of the ocean & the pieces are relatively small, it would suggest that the plane broke up in the air, supporting the theory of an onboard explosion. However, if the debris field is concentrated is a relatively small area, that world indicate that the aircraft hit the surface of the water largely intact. The planes' two flight data recorders or as their called the
Black Boxes, if they can be recovered world also provide important clues. They have indicated that the flight crashed halfway between Crete and Egypt which could mean it landed on what scientists refer to as the Mediterranean Ridge. What this means...
The ridge has been pushed upward by the African plate of the earth's crust sliding under the Aegean Sea, deforming and crumbling the seafloor, Said Scientist at the Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University who has studied the Mediterranean seafloor. The Scientist says the water there is about
1.5 miles deep, and picking out wreckage at the bottom from among the bumps, which are perhaps up to 50 to 100 feet in size could be very complex.
So, if the plane crashed farther to the south, the wreckage would lie on a smoother plain at a depth between 1.7 and 2mile deep, said Dr. Ryan. In that case the search would go faster - and the much desired answers to what caused the crash could come quicker.

Well, I hope for the sake of the people who have lost

so their loved ones that the wreckage is on the easier area

in the Mediterranean seafloor so that they at some point

can have peace. This wasn't the easiest post to do

but then again sometimes I feel I just have to do these
