The Ghost in Search of Help

The Ghost in Search of Help-
I've always been interested in ghosts, haunted houses and of course the world of the Unseen.
Of Dragons, Elves, Faeries, Mermaids and much much more..
This tale my dearest friends & followers is another interesting urban legend with a twist. So have a sit, with your favorite beverage and relax. Listen the the music and have a good read of the tale from England in the early Edwardian period. I hope you like my dears...
So here is how the tale goes... A Rev Grey who belonged to a very large family recently ordained had taken an parish at the east end of London was sitting in his office smoking his pipe working on his Sunday sermon. His housekeeper had gone to bed early that evening and it was quite late that Saturday night. Suddenly the door bell rang & Rev Grey got up to see who it could be at this late hour. It was a very foggy night and hard to see, but under his gas light stood an tiny old lady in a poke bonnet  and lace shawl. She also had a skirt that was dark green with age that almost glowed in the fog. The tiny old woman pleaded with the Rev to go with her at the West end of London even though it was very late. She had said, he was urgently needed at a home there. At first the Rev tried to send her away being that it was very late & he wasn't sure about going out so late on a house call, however she pleaded so earnestly that he decided to take a cab to the address that night. He told the old woman to wait a moment so that he could get his coat and when he returned to the door she vanished! Grey still took an cab to the west end of the London out of curiosity and arrived at a huge mansion that was having a party going on. After waiting for what seemed hours for someone to come to the enormous doors, the Rev told the butler he was needed here and his name was Rev Grey.
The Tale continues with explaining why he came to the house; describing the tiny old woman and the urgency for him to come tonight to the master of the house. Afterward, the master of the house looked terrified. At that very moment the master of the house started to confess everything he had ever done in his life! As if he was in confession at a Catholic Church! He confessed the the Rev. of having a wicked life of crime, where upon the Rev tried to help the man. He urged the master of the home to make his peace with God & to stop his ways of life of crime. Upon leaving it seems that the man appeared to be serious about another confession, so before leaving the Rev gave the man of the house a private Communion and Prayer. As Rev Grey was leaving he told him that he should come to church tomorrow morning and said goodbye. The next morning after church services the Rev. wondered why the man that he had seen last night didn't come?
So he decided to stop by his house again that afternoon. When he arrived to see the master, he was told he had died last night shortly after he had left!  After hearing that the Rev. Grey was very concern about the master since he gave his confession last night then died soon after.
When the butler brought the Rev. to his bedroom the master was lying on his bed. Rev Grey stood there thinking trying to figure out the puzzle and as he did, he glanced around the room. Suddenly his eyes caught an very old oil painting above his bed. It was of the tiny old woman in the poke bonnet and lace shawl that had came to his house late Saturday night. The Rev. asked who the little old lady was in the oil painting? The butler said to the Rev. that it was the Master's mother who had died many years ago.
So what I believe what happened in this tale was the Master's Mother had came back as an angle in hope that her son would  be saved from his sins of his worldly sin by going to a Rev. to come to his house just before he dies. She must of known that his time was coming very soon and wanted her son to have a chance of confession to an Rev. so that he to could go to heaven too. This is only my opinion, but it seems very holy in a way to me. Well I hope you found the tale interesting my
dearest friends & followers I love you all very much

Melusina

Melusina~
Melusina
Good afternoon my dear friends and followers and I wish you all a wonderful day. For today's post I bring you Melusina an famous nymph that married the heir of the Lusignan family in France and gave birth to eight children with animal marking on their bodies. She was originally from France, Germany and Switzerland too.  Her race besides being from a famous water nymph, she is also an Dragoness/Serpentine too. The Melusina was also said to be a mythological creature found in the ancient Celtic and Medieval folklore too. She was part woman and serpent; her top half being that of a very beautiful woman since she was married to the Lusignan family in France and gave birth to eight children.
The myth of this beautiful creature is very old. And I just happened to come upon it. Melusina is derived from the Celtic waters of faeries and nymphs who were thought to be changelings. Even though some thought they came from France, Germany and Switzerland too. As all mermaids and sirens could use their voice with a most beautiful song that only men could here the luring tunes, that would be very deceiving to any unsuspecting man that happened to be anywhere near the sea's edge. This Magick song can lure all men into their world of underwater castles and caverns. Sometimes it can be a lifetime of a slave to being a husband but others it can be a tasty meal.  Well it seems that this Goddess was quite popular in the ancient Middle Ages both in the Celtic times of Ireland and in Northern France and England too. This Beauty was mostly popular in the Medieval times of Elynas , the King of Albania and the beautiful Fae, Pressina.
Melusina
One day while the King Elynas was hunting, he came across a river where he stopped to get a drink. The man, a woman singing and this is when he found the Fae Pressina,(the Melusina) He then persuaded her to marry him and she agreed on one condition, that he never enter her Private chamber when she gave birth to their children, bathe, or when she gave the children at bathe. She told him if he did! there would be terrible if not horrible and possible fatal consequences if he did not follow her her agreement. During their marriage she gave birth to triplets, all girls named Melusina, Melior and Plantina. Well the King Elynas upon hearing the news that he just became a new father, and his newly bride had just gave birth to three daughters, forgot about the agreement and condition they had made about the private bathe chamber when she gave birth not to come in until she said it was OK to come in to see her and the new born babies. The King was so exited upon hearing the great news, he just burst into the private bathe chamber to see his new baby girls while Pressina was bathing the after birth off them.

Well you can only image what happened next... She cried and screamed out that he had broke his promise and that was the last time he saw his baby girls. Because that very day she took the three babies girls and fled to Avalon.
As the three girls grew into teenagers , the oldest Melusina asked her mother why they had been living in Avalon, so faraway from their father. So their mother Pressina finally decided it was time to tell them the truth, why they had move away from their father, and told them the story of what their father had did. Well this enraged Melusina. So she got her sisters involved and decided to capture their father King Elynas and lock him in a mountain.
Well this of course backfired. And because of a curse placed upon her mother, Melusine is born to become half woman, half serpent on every Saturday. This is because her mother became so angry for what they did to their father the King. And since Melusine was the oldest and was the one who planned the whole thing. she was condemned to be the form of a serpent  from the waist don on every Saturday, until she should meet a man who would marry her under the condition of never seeing her on a Saturday and he should keep his promise too.
Melusina
So the rest of the week, she could live as a normal human, however during the rest of the week she had to conceal herself from any sights when taking her bath on Saturdays. When she left the Castle of Lusignan, Why? because she was as much as a dragon as any! with her four heavily clawed legs, bat-like wings, doted serpent tail and a monstrous head.
So on those days that she wasn't a monster dragon, she went out on her search for this man that would marry her, in hopes that her faith would work out better than her mum.
Then one day she came across a man in the woods while sitting by a lake named Raymond of Poitou. Well again Raymond became enchanted by the beauty of Melusina and ask for her hand in marriage. And Melusina was so happy and said yes on the same condition, that her mother had did, but this was only for Saturdays. Again he promised to! never to go into her bathing chamber on Saturdays. And of course soon after their marriage they had many children just like her mother.  But in time even Raymond had to have a peek, and when he does its a bit worst for him then the king. Because he sees the whole transformation from a beautiful woman into a hideous creature with a huge fish serpentine
tail. After that Raymond never sees her again, as she flies from the bath and came back to Lusignan with her children. She retired to the lost island and she was very lucky to have found it Why? well they say that it is only by chance that you are able to repeat the next visit.
However, maybe it was faith for Melusina, my own opinion. Once she did find the lost island she reared her children that she had brought with her, taking them every morning to a high mountain, and telling them that, if it wasn't for their father's breach of a promise, they might have lived happily in the distant land which they were before.
She told them when she and her sisters were fifteen years of age, she asked her mother particularly of what their father had been guilty of? After she found out what her father had done, she told her children how she conceived and designed revenged on her father. After that Melusina, engaged her sisters to join in on her plans, and they set out for Albania. When they arrived there, they took the king their own father and all his wealth by a charm spell, enclosed him in a high mountain called the Brandelois. She told her children that she had several more sever judgements than her two sisters did.
Now of what happened to the sisters of Melusina; Melior was said to keep a hawk in a remote castle in Armenia until the day of Judgment. and her other sister Palatina  is enclosed in the Canigou mountain with her fathers treasure until a knight, strong and bold to kill the monstrous guardians come to reconquer 'the land of promission'. Melusina now went roaming throughout the world in search of the man who was to deliver her.
So Melusina passed through the Black Forest and that of Ardennes, and at last she arrived in the forest of Colombiers, in Poitou where all the Fae's of the neighborhood came before her, telling her they had been waiting for her to reign in that place in her return.
Raymond having accidentally killed the count, his uncle by the glancing aside of his boar-spear was wandering by in the forest of Colombiers too. When he arrived at a fountain that was at a high rock as the people in those times would call it 'The Fountain of Thirst/ The Fountain of the Fays' because of the many magick things which had
happened at the fountain. Well it seems that Raymond and the Melusina meet again, for at one time she and her sisters were diverting themselves there by the light of the moon in the beautiful fountain, mainly the older sister Melusina.
Just like before her beauty and her amiable manners quickly won his love. She soothed him, concealed the deed he had done and married him once again, with him promising on his oath never to desire to see her on a Saturday bathe. Melusina also assured him that a breach of his oath would forever deprive him of her whom he so much loved and he followed by the unhappiness of both for life.
So again out of Melusina great wealth she built for him, in the neighborhood of the Fountain of Thirst, where he first saw her the castle of Lusignan. Melusina, also built La Rochelle, Cloitre Malliers, Mersent and many many other places too! However, even with all the wonder of the new love and beginnings with her Raymond; plus his oath to her once again, it would seem that her destiny would be always be alone. The marriage was again made unhappy by the deformity of the children born of one that was enchanted. But this time Raymond's love for the beauty of his wife that ravished both his heart and eyes remained unshaken. It was sad that their newly marriage would be damaged by Raymond's cousin, who had excited him to jealousy. And was able to get him to revel the secret fountain chamber, by malicious suggestions of the purport of Saturday retirement of the Countess his beautiful wife.
The Beautiful and Grace of the
Melusina. So beautiful yet forever
will be alone in life.
So the very next day Raymond hid himself; and saw how lovely the form of his wife/Melusina was. For the first time he say her as a beauty form of a lady ended below in a snake of great grace of gray, sky-blue and whites. However, it was not the horror that seized him at the sight of the beauty that he saw, it was the infinite anguish at the reflection in the water that his breach of faith he might lose his lovely wife forever truly now that he has just gain her trust.
Yet, if it this misfortune had not speedily come on him, were it not for his son, Geoffroi with the tooth - [A boar's tusk projected from his mouth], had burned his brother Freimund, who would stay in the abbey of Malliers with the abbot and a hundred monks.
However, you would think that after that lovely comment that Raymond would never say a mean thing again to his beloved Melusina, well guest again. Some men what ever decade can be very cruel . Why? Well it seems that at which the affliction of what happened between father and son is what brought this out rage toward his beloved wife Melusina. So when Count Raymond was in their bedroom, and his wife was entering his closet to comfort him, he broke out into these hurtful words against her. ' Out of my sight, thou pernicious snake and odious serpent! thou contaminator of my race!'
The Melusina former anxiety was now verified, and the evil that had lain so long in ambush had now fearfully sprung on Raymond and her.
She know now that she would forever be alone. She would never or could never be with a man or husband ever! That she could never trust again. She kinda just fainted away and when at length she revived, full of the profoundest grief, she declared Raymond that she must now depart from him and in obedience to a decree of destiny, fleet about the earth in pain and suffering as a specter until the day of doom and that only when one of her race was to die at Lusignan would she become visible. Her words at parting to Raymond were these', But one thing will I say unto thee before I part, that thou, and those who for more than a hundred years shall succeed thee, shall know that whenever I am seen to hover over the fair castle of Lusignan Immediately, with wailing and loud lamentation, she left the castle of Lusignan, and has ever since existed as a specter of the night.' A few months later Raymond died as a hermit on Monserrat. After Melusina left the Lusignan prosperity  ended and they were the once richest families of their time and second-rank to nobles men and women.
Geoffroi Melusina son who could have broke the malediction died before going to Canigou and deliver Paletina. Well I hope that you all enjoyed the tale of Melusina I found
it to be a interesting tale myself. I love you all very much

Fairy Herbs~

Fairy Herbs~
Faeries siting watch humans
with her herbs to made sure they
do the right way of using them.
In this post today my dear Friends & Followers I have some Ideas on Fairy Herbs!  I have always been curious about what how these herbs can sometimes help humans and other times  can be harmful. So sit back with a warm cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the story. It is said that the fairies are quite skilled with healing powers the herbs that they use. Some of these herbs that they use, will share with the humans, but only the ones that are kind to them especially if they look after their fairy infants.
In Russia, it is the Rusaika who offers this knowledge! It is said that some of these faerie healers attribute their experience to inter-breeding with faerie folk generation centuries ago. Knowledge was not only given  to the humans of which plants were use, they also were told when they should be harvest by the Fae.
They seem to gather the herbs mostly at midnight when it was the safest time of the 24-hour period of an day, also they Fae liked this time because of the dew is covering the plants or at dawn. It seems to make the herbs more magick of sorts. The faeries also would be heard to look for herbs during the time near midsummer solstice too. This was a very important time for  the Fae bothe faerie and elves. Making the right selection of rose or flower petals and roots of plants are very important and the gift of the fairies would be to see one sitting upon a toadstool where you might be looking for herbs. However, if yu break a branch from the wrong tree or use a herb incorrectly and you may be struck down on that very spot where the faerie was sitting and you will never see a Fae again.
Here are a few of the different Kinda Faerie Herbs that will either protect you or if used incorrectly will you know what will happen!
Rue- This herb makes British and Persian Faeries alike powerless; Whey? Well I will tell you why! Grasp two handfuls to escape their world to wear the dried leave of this herb Rue in a little bag around your neck; this should get you out of their realm if you want this. Another
trick, indoors with the herb Rue is to rub the floors with it to send any spirits flying away. Also Rue is used medicinally to strengthen the eyesight, of humans though there are no reports stated whether it brings fairy worlds into focus for humans.
Wormwood~ This herb is found in the shade, and is one of the most important herbs  of the Fae's ointments. It is used to put an enchantment spell onto a human or to remove the enchantment spell on the humans. The herb can be consumed but if eaten to much of his herb it can cause to much stimulate to the brain. Some have said who have taken too much of the herb Wormwood stimulate the world will turn blue, then yellow. They have said that the herb Wormwood in one of the ingredients of La fee' Verde Absinthe, its fameist for its narcotic like effects. The herb was known to repel Evil some say. Faeries are said to fear this herb wormwood and would fly away as soon as they would see it in the woods.
Its repelling properties is most popularly expressed in it s folks used as a worm and flee the tonic. Who would carry a sprig in their pocket at night to insure safe passage through the dark woods, especially in Russia, where it is supremely effective against the Rusalka.
Wild Thyme~  If you every gather the wild thyme! from the side of a faery hill an d wear a sprig or use the tops in a potion that enables you to watch the faery world, especially if you sleep out! When placed under the pillow, it keeps away the night mare- night this be related to its use as a respiratory tonic and to relieve muscle spasms? Medicinally it is valued for anti ageing properties too.
Wood Sorrel~ This fairy herb is used in Fairy and Elf spells, it could be because of its triple leafed habit. In the 19th century this herb had magick properties that were co-opted to the
Christian Trinity, though it retains the nickname FairyBells. Interesting Eh!
Yarrow~ The Yarrow Herb is an protective herb plant against fairy glamor and a potent wound healer too. It will also help with speeding recovery too! It cannot be harmful with supernatural forces, miraculously until midwinter. Also its good to hang over the cradle for human babies to give them powers of prediction and is used in love divination. At the Harvest at noon on a sunny day near a full moon for concentrated potency is the only way this herb will work its best.
StitchWort~  This herb if picked may caused you to be pixie - led warn people in Devon England Since it is a plant considered, special by fairies.
Elecampane~ This herb has a aromatic root, that is an active very active and used by the fairy world and their magick. Other names for this herb include are 'Elf Dock and Elf Wort. It Grows or is Scatter around the home if you fancy drawing the little fairy one in your home. Also elves have also have a fondness for the lavender herb, or elf leaf as they world call it.
Ground Ivy~`Well the Ground Ivy is called Lady Wilde , some say. And that it ground ivy safeguards against spirits and is a cure for many fairy ills.
Clover~ The Clover Well many of fairy love this herb why because this plant is also know as the shamrock and the Tom Thumbs which gain some of its supernatural powers in the weather prediction and fairy love. From the sacred to not so sacred. If you are lucky to find a four -leaf clover of even better a five-leaf cover make a wish, place it in a hat or behind your ear and your will see faeries some have said.
Similarly if you contact an ointment of an four - leaf clover or an amulet containing  a clover and seven grains of wheat. Clasp a clasp a clover also to extinguish fairy glamor. You must be very wary about faulty herbs of the Clover - the old leafed clovers have a most potency when you stumbled across one of these rare herbs rather than activity sought out and those who carry a clover are considered fair game for fairy enchantment.
Mugwort~ The Mugwort is an charm herb plant, which if placed in the shoes during journeys and famously worn proudly in the Isle of Man. Scene of much fairy lore, on the national day, July 4. Mermaids love this plant and will occasionally used in a similar way to the herb wormwood. I hope that You all Enjoyed the Fairy Herb Post  my Dear

LUTEY & THE MERMAID~

LUTEY & THE MERMAID~
The Mermaid hurt by the sharp rocks
This is a charming tale of an fisherman from Cornwall and a Mermaid. I thought you might enjoy the tale. I know I did when I found the story. So just sit back and grab a good cup of warm coffee and a warm blanket and enjoy the tale and the music that I have on my blog.
The story starts with a an fisherman of Cornwall; in the ancient days of Cornwall Ireland the fisherman of the ships would search the shipwrecks on the beaches for valuables that would wash up a shore from all the fishing ships in the day. It seems in those days many of the fishing ships were taken by the cruel rocky coastlines.
One day the fisherman Lutey of Cury who lived near Lizard Point discovered a lovey & beautiful Mermaid that was stranded in one of the many tidepools among these rocky coastlines where the fisherman lost there own lives in their fishing ships. She looked like she had been hurt, from the sharp rocks that she was hanging from. Lutey couldn't see her face but he could tell she was very beautiful and needed help. It had looked like she had taken something to help, because there was a small crystal bottle on the sand near her and it was empty. Lutey did believe in mermaids and has seen them in the distance, but this was the first time he had seem one close-up and in trouble too. As he approached her Lutey discovered that indeed the mermaid was very beautiful and he had no problem with her trust to persuaded her to let him carry her down off the receding rock coastline to the sea below.
Lutey caring the Mermaid
to safety
The closer Lutey was able to get the mermaid down of the spark rocks the more she began to trust the human man even more. She was snuggling Lutey by the time they were at the shoreline and she offered him three wishes for his kindness. Since Lutey was a good and kindly man, his first wish was; to have the power to break witch spells(black magick); second wish was the power to force witches familiars to do good to others; Finally the third wish; that these two powers be inherited by his descendants. The mermaid was very glad to grant all three wished to such a kindly and good man that had saved her from curtain death, because he had chosen wisely and unselfishly too. Besides the mermaid added two more gifts too his 3 wishes, First Gift; that none of his family should every want; Second Gift; was away for him to call her when in need by the use of her magic golden comb. Lutey thanked the mermaid and still carried her without effort and placed her toward the sea.
The Mermaid singing her siren kinda
sounds that mortal men can resist
Now Lutey was a very handsome man and very strong too. Those wishes that he asked of the mermaid well there was more to this story; you see it seem that the mermaid began to wish that the fisherman, an mortal handsome man might see her more in a romantic way. How the mermaid was indeed a most beautiful creature herself. However she didn't quite know how to get the human to get him to see her in a more romantic way. Then it came to her, her voice of song. It can melt anyone heart and make anyone follow the sound of her sounds...  So when the two finally came to the edge of the crashing waves of the sea, the mermaid began to plead with the fisherman Lutey to come with her into her world under the sea. At his point she had her hands and arms around his neck. She was quite healthy and healed from her wounds from the spark rocks, so her had him tightly about his neck when she was pleading with him to come with her to the underwater city with her. Lutey was just about to put her into the sea gently, when the mermaid's  voice was so gentle and the movement of her lithe body so sweet in his arms that Lutey started to forget his surroundings; the crashing ocean just in front of him, the depths of the sea cliff just under his feet; it was just a few more steps and he would be gone forever to the world that he knows, as he strides onward into the sea. If it wasn't for his dog barking frantically from the shoreline none stop and reminding Lutey of his own dear wife and children. However, by now the beautiful mermaid was clinging onto Lutey even more fiercely and tightly around his neck and she would have dragged him under to her world under the sea if Lutey hadn't unsheathed his knife and threatened her with it. merfolk, so she jumped out of Lutey arms, dashed away into the crashing waves, calling back to him,
Mermaid saying goodbye and I will be
back in Nine years my Love!
This he didn't want to do but he had to because he didn't want to leave his family. and the mermaid ~ The knife was made of iron, and metal which is repulsive to
'Farewell, farewell
and keep thee well, my love!
For nine long years I'll wait for thee
And hold thee in my heart, my love
And then I shall return!
Lutey's wishes did all come true and his family and descendant's all became famous healers too. Plus the mermaids promise also came true, nine years to the day she said it. He was our fishing with one of his many sons and she rose high in the water that was as green as her big beautiful green eyes were. She shook her very long black hair to beckon Lutey.
Lutey turned to his son and said' Its time, my son I must pay my debt' Yet he didn't seem in the least unhappy as he jump of the pier into the green depths with his silvery voice love.
It is said also that since that day , every nine years an Lutey of Cury would be lost at sea. Know one really knows if they are as lucky as the first Lutey being a joyous one, but one hopes that they all joy the underworld of mermaids where the first Lutey is to live a very happy life. I hope that you all Enjoy the tale of the Mermaid and the fisherman Lutey of Cury.
I love you all my dear Friends & Follower
