Creepy Contaminations-Finger by Dry Cleaner

Good morning my dearest friends, followers, supporters and readers. As to my many posts on urban legends & to how much it seems you all find them to be fascinating to read. I do try to find the very best ones. I hope this is another fun one to read too.
The tale starts...With a man eating at a Chinese restaurant and had bitten into something to hard to chew or shallow. Being a kind soul & rather not causing a scene, he decided to get his napkin and removed the offensive morsel of food wrapped in the napkin. After that he quietly put it into his jacket pocket, finished the rest of his dinner & the tough morsel that was put in his jacket was all but forgotten. Well, this was until one afternoon when his friendly neighborhood Dry cleaner, who was accompanied by two police officers came to his door. They produced his Jacket that he had dry clean at his friendly dry cleaner a couple day a go. The police asked him to identify his jacket. He easily did so, then he asked, 'What seems to be the problem Officer?' One of the police officers showed the man the evidence bag in which was the shriveled first two joints of a human forefinger. The Officer then told the man it had been found wrapped in a napkin in your jacket pocket.
At this point the man was very concern and a bit sick knowing that that was in his mouth a few weeks ago. Also that he was in trouble with the law too! At that moment the officer demanded, 'Where's the rest of the Body?' All the man could do is take his to the Restaurant where he ended up with that first two joints of a human forefinger on his plate and gave them also directions to the Chinese Restaurant.
(note: this is could happen to any type of restaurant it just happen to be Chinese and its just a urban legend...)
As they got closer the man asked if he should be concern about his health, but the police didn't say anything till they got to the place. As the tale ends;
There is Good news/Bad news...
The Good News was the cook at the restaurant had only lost the finger, that ended up on the gentleman plate.
The Bad News was an Pathologists had already did a report on the finger, that ended up on the gentleman plate then in his mouth chewing on it a bit. HAD LEPROUS!

Moral of the story- Never keep chewing on something too hard or that taste yuck. And always tell the owners of what ever restaurant you happen to be in. It could cost your life!

US COASTAL CITIES & the RISES SEAS
COULD THREATEN MILLIONS-

In this post, I have been wanting to do this subject matter for quite some time. I will try to give you as much information that I can on this subject so that you will be in the coming years. As you know by looking at my blog, I have an clear subject going on with blog; One is the love and strong believe in the Fae, love of fantasy, mythology, urban legends, gardens, stories, poetry, faeries, dragons, hummingbirds, causes for children and animals and much more. However there is another side to me that I used to do when I was on network sites - Ning networks... And one of them was Climate and how it effects our planted. Since the world was so effected by weather the last couple of years I thought I would do a new group of posts on the problems that we are all are facing with Climate change. I hope you find this post interesting and helpful. I will do one or two a week, or when I find them. The first problem on American soil is the growing number of Americans that are making their new or old homes very near the idyllic beaches of the Florida Keys. I must say this area is beautiful, however it's also a very dangerous area too. Its only a matter of time when half of the state of Florida is under the ocean.  Sadly this is one of the first place that will be rushed with Hugh rogue waves that will cover have of the entire state of Florida. And beautiful Florida Keys will be gone! You see the combination of rising populations and rising seas could see millions of Americans living in homes that flood regularly during the next decades ahead, according to a nationwide analysis who wrote in the journal 'NaturFlooding' is already a routine during high tides and storms in parts of Florida.

The only way to protect the populations is by taking step now, and that is relocation of large populations or redirect the building in these high dangerous area's of the rising seas to come. Which isn't going to be easy because most don't believe that this is actually going to happen. The other huge problem that we need to address is the rising levels of the greenhouse effect of gas pollution that is continue warming the planet which is causing the seas to rise and the glaciers to melt. Scientists have combined their studies and research on the matter on local population trends with the conservation projections for the rising sea levels to conclude that the homes of 4million Americans would be inundated during high tides following 3 feet of seal level rise by the year 2100. I quote one ecologist at Stetson University as he says' Once you take into account growth of population, the numbers end up being two to three times more in terms of overall population that's going to be impacted than of you just look at current populations, who contributed to the study 'Florida really pops out'!
It would seem that the scientific researches have already done some preliminary steps in adapting to the rising seas in Monroe County & in some other vulnerable regions too. This places were studied for many things such as if a fossil fuel burning and deforestation continued at the current rates, they found it was leading to sea level rise of 6 feet by 2100. Sadly with these predictions, the researchers projected that the number of Americans living in homes that would be in the flooding areas would jump to 13million. Sadly most of those 13 million people that would be impacted by the rising seas;

California, New York and Louisiana alike would be home to about 1million people apiece whose homes could flood at high tide in 2100 if seas rise by 6 feet. Even though the results are speculative they are assume that developers well continue to build homes in the same manner on coastal hubs the way they currently do and at the current rates with the rising seas they also assume that the people will not make any changes and remain in the same area of the rising flood area's. Because no one truly believes it will happen. Another researcher at the nonprofit resource for the future said', 'People may now be living in areas that will be inundated in 50 or 100 years but we have time to react'. 'Sea level rise is not an immediate impact there is time to move and adapt.'
Nobody really know how our communities will be reshaped as the flooding continues to become more routine in the lowland area's. We just have to hope that the people will listen to the warning early as the projections are true - so that we can re locate millions of people before it happens.
In doing this post I did find that Florida is in the most danger of loosing huge percent of their populations. If the rising seas just goes to 3 feet they could loose about 4percet of the population of Florida and if its 6 feet well, that could be a disaster. The problem could affect nearly 2million residents of the county in 2100, even more that a third of the people who are expected to live there by the year too. As for the affect on Monroe County , which includes key west and other islands at the tip of Florida or any islands around the world that are sea level, they all would be hit the hardest. If the seas rise up to 6 feet+ by 2100 the researcher project that 83% of its residents world endure daily flooding. Some saw that half of Florida would be gone after all the flooding is done and no more island in around the oceans would survive. So we need to act now and help as many people as we can. Sadly when  I started doing this over 10+ years ago no one believed I hope now people will start because it is getting worst and it will happen. I just wish that people would have listen 10+ years ago when lots of folks were trying to tell people it was going to happen and it was slowly how lets just hope it isn't to late. love you Wendy...

WHITE STRING OF JAPAN URBAN LEGEND

Good evening my dears I thought I would try and catch-up for the month If I can or try to. For this post I know that some of you enjoy a good creepy urban legend and I know that there are quite a few in the Japanese legend. The White String is right up there with creepy. Its a short one but interesting too. Some say besides being a urban legend it is a true one however that one I will leave for you all to decided for yourselves.
The White String is a strange urban legend from Japan that I found on my favorite site for Japanese folklore/urban legends. The story is about ear pierces. Which is odd because I had my ears pierced when I was 16years old in the mall and my little sister did at was 14 and were both just fine. Well one with the tall. It was very popular in the 80's to get your ears pierced as I do remember that too. At the time in the 80's when the popular time of getting your ears pierced was going on this urban legend stopped quite a few young japan kids for fear that the urban legend would happen to them! Many were very afraid that the urban legend would truly happen compared to some of the others so many didn't get their ears pierced during that time of the 80's.
Well this is the tale of what happen to one girl in japan that did get her ears pierced and why so many believe the urban legend of the White String.
ONE DAY THERE WAS A YOUNG GIRL THAT WAS DESPERATELY WANTED TO HAVE HER EARS PIERCED. SHE LIVED IN JAPAN WITH HER PARENTS AND THEY SAID SHE WAS FAR TO YOUNG AND NEED TO WAIT A FEW YEARS. HOWEVER THE YOUNG GIRL PLEADED WITH HER PARENTS, SAYING THAT ALL HER CLASSMATES WERE GETTING IT DONE AT THIS AGE PLEASE!PLEASE! SHE WOULD SAY! WELL, EVENTUALLY HER PARENTS LET HER DO IT AND GAVE HER SOME MONEY, THEY TOLD HER TO GO TO THE LOCAL MALL TO GET IT DONE IN A LOCAL JEWRY STORE THEN GET PIERCED EARRINGS. THEY FELT AT LEAST SHE WOULD BE SAFE IN THE JEWRY STORE MALL. OR AT LEAST THEY THOUGHT.

THINGS DON'T ALWAYS GO AS A PARENT WOULD HOPE THE YOUNG GIRL DECIDED TO KEEP THE MONEY FOR HERSELF AND TO THE PIERCING HERSELF. THE YOUNG GIRL GOT HER BEST FRIEND TO HELP HER DO IT JUST IN CASE IT WAS HARDER THAN SHE THOUGHT. FIRST THEY HEATED UP A VERY LARGE NEEDLE TO MAKE SURE NO INFECTION AND THEN STUCK IT IN BOTH OF THEIR EARLOBES. OF COURSE IT WAS VERY PAINFUL FOR BOTH OF THE GIRLS. BUT IN THE END BOTH HERE FRIEND AND HERSELF HAD PIERCED EARS AND COULD WARE THE FANCY EARRINGS THAT THEY WANTED TOO. SO FAR EVERYTHING WAS GOING FINE AND NO SCARY CURSE OR LEGEND HAD HAPPEN TO THE GIRLS FOR DAYS. BUT ALL GOOD THINGS WHEN YOU ARE MESSING WITH A URBAN LEGEND MUST COME TO AN END. SO IT HAPPENED A FEW DAYS LATER , WHILE THE GIRL WAS IN SCHOOL SHE WAS BEGINNING TO GET A LOT OF PAIN IN HER LEFT EAR WHERE SHE HAD PIERCED HER EAR. THE LEFT EARLOBE BEGAN TO GET VERY ITCHY AND PAINFUL TOO. DURING A BREAK AT SCHOOL SHE DECIDED TO HAVE A LOOK AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM TO LOOK AT HER EARLOBE., ONLY TO DISCOVER IT HAD GOTTEN EVEN WORST. HER EAR WAS BRIGHT RED AND INFLAME AND VERY ITCHY TOO! THE YOUNG GIRL BEGAN TO SCRATCH AT IT ALOT. STILL IN THE SCHOOL BATHROOM SHE NOTICED SOMETHING ODD, WHEN THE YOUNG GIRL HAD A CLOSER LOOK AT HER EAR, IT LOOKED LIKE THE END OF A PIECE OF WHITE STRING, WAS COMING OUT OF HER EARLOBE. THE YOUNG GIRL THOUGHT THIS TO BE VERY STRANGE & IT SHOULD BE THERE SO, SHE STARTED TO PULL AND PICK AT THE LONG WHITE STRING THAT WAS COMING FROM HER EARLOBE IN HOPE THAT IT WOULD STOP THE PAINFUL ITCH TOO. AFTER A FEW MINUTES THERE WAS A VERY LONG PIECE OF WHITE STRING HANGING OUT OF HER PIERCED EARLOBES, AS SHE LOOKED AT IT THERE DIDN'T SEEM TO BE ANY END TO IT. IT JUST WENT ON AND ON AND ON! SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! BUT SHE DIDN'T THING IT WAS ANYTHING IMPORTANT, SO SHE GOT A PART OF SCISSORS & CUT THE LONG WHITE STRING THAT WAS HANGING OUT OF HER EARLOBE THAT DIDN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANY END TO IT. AS SOON AS SHE CUT THE WHITE STRING EVERYTHING WENT BLACK & SHE COULDN'T SEE A THING! RUNNING OUT OF THE BATHROOM TO GET HELP SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND THE LOCAL DOCTOR EXAMINED HER. FINALLY THE DOCTOR WAS ABLE TO TELL THE YOUNG GIRL WHAT HAD HAPPEN TO HER AND SHE ALMOST WENT INTO SHOCK. YOU SEE, THE DOCTOR AT THE HOSPITAL SAID TO THE GIRL THAT SHE WILL BE BLIND FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE! THE REST FOR THIS IS; THE REASON FOR THIS IS THE WHITE STRING THAT YOU WERE PULLING ON THAT WAS IN YOUR EARLOBE AND THEN NOTICE THAT IT WAS VERY LONG WITH NO ENDING WAS YOUR OPTIC NERVE. I DON'T KNOW WAY IT WAS COMING FROM YOU EAR BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE COME HERE TO HOSPITAL BEFORE YOU START CUTTING THINGS....

NEIMAN MARCUS COOKIES

Neiman Marcus Cookies-Recipe

Good morning my dearest Followers, Friends, & Readers. HAPPY FOOLS DAY! 
Well, for todays post I thought I would do an Urban Legend that is actually True! I'm not really good with pranks, so I hope that you all enjoy the tale. This one is actually True. It's called 'Neiman Marcus Cookies' and I found it in my book called 'The Colossal Book of Legends. From what the woman had said, in just the first couple of lines, I just had to tell her story.
This is the story;
'My daughter & I had just finished a salad at Neiman Marcus Cookies Cafe in Dallas & decided to have a small dessert. Because both of us are such cookie lovers. We decide to try the 'Neiman Marcus Cookie." It was so excellent that I asked if they would give me the recipe & the waitress said with a small frown, "I'm afraid not'. Well, would you let me buy the recipe? With a cute smile, the waitress said, yes. I asked how much? The waitress responded, "only two fifty'. I said great deal & just added it to my tab. Well, thirty days later, she received her visa statement from Neiman Marcus and her bill was $285.00. She had to look at the bill twice, then remembered that she had only spent 9.95$ for two salads and about $20.00 for a scarf. She glanced at the bottom of the statement and it said, "COOKIE RECIPE $250.00.
She said that was outrageous!
She called Neiman's accounting Dept and told them the waitress said 'two-fifty dollars to her'.
She asked if there was anyone there possible to interpret the phrase 'only two fifty?' Sadly Neiman Marcus refused to budge on the matter. They would not refund her money, because according to them, 'What the waitress told her is not our problem. You have already seen the recipe so we absolutely will not refund your money at this point.
She said, Okay, You folks got my $250. Now I'm going to have fun. She told the Neimans Accounting Dept, she was going to see to it that every cookie lover in the United States with an email account has a $250 Cookie Recipe from Neiman-Marcus for FREE! 
NOTE AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS TRUE URBAN LEGEN SHE SAID- 'THIS IS TRUE -PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ AND PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON YOU KNOW!
It seems that they replied, 'I wished you wouldn't do this! However, the woman that Neiman Marcus wouldn't refund the $250.00 relied Well, you should have thought of that before! 
So there it is & and here is the Recipe to that could be halved-
Neiman Marcus cookies Recipe-
2-cups butter
4-cups flour
2-tsp. Soda (club soda)
2-cups sugar
5-cups blended oatmeal...
24-oz. Chocolate chips
3-cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2-cups brown sugar
1-tsp salt
1-8 oz Hershey Bar graded
4-eggs
2-tsp baking powder
2-tsp van.
Measure oatmeal and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Then cream the butter and both sugars. Add 4 eggs and Vanilla. Then mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts. Roll into small balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10min at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies

In this post I will bring you into the sacred world of the Celts my dearest friends,followers, supports and 
 reader's too! I'm going to cover the world of the mystic Hounds that are mostly connected to the Celtic other world. It is said in the Ancient world of the Celtic, 'of all the hounds he had seen in the world, had seen no dogs the colour as these were. Their colour was an brilliant shining white & their ears as red as some say as blood.' King Pwyll of Dyfed was right to wonder about these strange dogs, for their master as Arawn(note I have done a post on Arawn & it is at the bottom of this in the purple color link)

Arawn was the ruler of Annwn, the magical other world of the

Celtic Dogs were among the most often type of animal that was connected with the Celtic at the time of the ancient Celtic. These Mystic hounds may be the harbingers of death, as the red-eared hounds of Annwn. Some have said the colour Red is associated with death too. However these legends and traditions were many centuries ago in the Celtic counties of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. In the Celtic tale of Da Derga is said to possess a pack of nine white hounds. They have said that white is another colour that indicates the supernatural in the world of the Celtic.

The Celtic dogs were also believed to have magical healing qualities. It has been suggested that this is because they heal their own wounds by licking them, but for whatever reasons they are commonly found at Celtic healing sanctuaries too. It would seem that at one sanctuary,at Lydney in Gloucestershine. No fewer than nine canine images have been discover as offerings to the British Gods Nodens.

They have also found many dog skeletons at sites in areas to Wales,
 Ireland and Scotland which suggests that they were involved in the
 virtual of these sacrifices, that were possibly associated with the afterlife and the otherworldly. So there are many things that are truly quite amazing that have happened all around this beautiful Earth of ours in all different cultures around the would. And I have only partly touch it in the 3years I have been blogging and writing in the Ning.com sites too. I hope that you all enjoy my stories,

In this post I am going to bring you
Another tale of urban legend in Japan.
The Village is called Inunaki & they say that
the hills of the Inunaki village have eyes. So one
Should be very careful when you venture to 
The notorious Japanese village that is full
of urban legends & superstitions alone.
It seems that if you have the guts to 
enter the Abandoned villages, you will see
busted-up Collections of rural shacks &
believe it or not the village bears a sign
at the entrance. What this sign says is 
that the laws of Japan do not apply here
at the Village of Inunaki. You are
all probably wondering what could 
possibly be the reasons that this village
would not have the same laws of Japan?
Well, supposedly, its inhabitants indulge
in very bizarre practices such as incest,
cannibalism and lastly, there were no 
electronic devices aloud or that even work
in the area of the town.
Few, if any strangers or visitors would
ever return from the village of Inunaki.

As I have said in Japaneses Urban Legends
Is the most notorious of all Japanese legends.
So much that even the communities that 
lived closed by the area & political groups 
in japan have made

An effort to make sure that no folks ever
stumble upon the lost village just from the 
creepy superstitions alone. It is said that
Inunaki village was abandoned around WW2
& was never touched since that day.

That hasn't been occupied by anyone
other than curious visitors for 73-years.
There is no electronic devices on the properly
that will work. And when curious 
visitors come their phones won't work on
the trails that lead to the village of Inunaki. 
It was abandoned since WW2 and since 
then as far as anyone knows knowone
has lived there since. Living anyway!!!
The authorities of Japan have put several 
signs all over the trails saying that if 
any of the tails happen to lead to the 
Village Inunaki it is not their responsibility.
Basically they are saying you are taking

your own risk by walking the trails to the village & the tunnels as well.

All laws of japan and human decency does
not apply here'. The reasons why is because for centuries, even before WW2 the Inunaki Village was rumored to be a village completely composed of  murderous cannibals, incest and many horrors that were said to have been committed there. Not a pretty place to have around your country. I could understand why the people of japan would want to cover the village away in the urban legends even if some say it was truth legends.

'The laws and constitutions of Japan do not apply here' Electronic devices are said to be useless here as well. Many curious folks who have gone in search of the village of Inunaki have never returned or seen again!

PELE'S CURSE

Pele's Curse

Good evening my dearest Friends, Supporters, Followers and Readers to my humble blog, I thought I would bring you to the Islands of Hawaii one more time for another Urban legend. As I was telling in my last post I would try to find different urban legends/folktales of different countries. Since Hawaii is close to my heart being that my family on my husband side lives there it is fun to do. This one has some truth to the legend & many stories too. Pele is very ancient when it comes to the Hawaiian islands. They say that she is the one that created the islands with her lava. This is another tale that I will look in my archives to see if I have written about the

Goddess Pele for you. Now  from what Hawaiian legend says and anyone who is born an raised on the island of Hawaii knows the tale like my husband when I first meet his family in 1990 and then when we went there on our honeymoon to never pick up any of the lava rock or sands to bring home which I have never done. There are other superpositions that you should be aware of too. but I will put that in another post. So in the Hawaiian legend; anyone that removes a piece of lava rock  from the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park will incur the wrath of The Goddess Pele. Supposedly she will cause terrible curses upon you following those that do prompt them to soon abandon the rock or rocks that they had taken from her volcano as a self-preservation.

So can a souvenir  that is casually pocketed on a Hawaiian beach bring such misfortune to one person? Though the more skeptical person, they may scoffingly dismiss the notion off as pure hooey, However, there are thousands that have come to believe that by taking the Goddess Pele's volcanic rocks they will fetch with them a curse of impressive proportions. The only way to undo the jinx or curse is to return the purloined items whence they came. It is said that in the legend that the Goddess Pele of Fire & Volcanoes is so angered when her rocks --- which she sees as her children --- are taken from her that she exacts a terrible revenge on the thief or thieves.

So she is especially protective of the volcanic rocks and the sand, items that the tourists almost think nothing about when the mindlessly pocket as mementos of  their vacations. After all, who would miss a little old rock?

So the Goddess Pele who lives not far from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park & not far from all the many hotels that receive a never -ending stream of packages containing sand, shells and most important of all lava rock Pele's children from the guilty-minded vacationers who are intent upon reversing they're sudden downpours of terrible bad luck.  Many of these were returned with notes begging forgiveness by the Goddess Pele herself.

So have said please take this sand and put it back somewhere on your island. I have had very bad luck since it came into my life and I am very sorry I took it Please forgive me and I pray that once I send it back where it comes from my bad luck will go away. It seems that thousands of pounds of stolen lava rock have been returned to Hawaiian islands by mail each year because fo former tourist fear that the Goddess Pele will change their lives by here wrath.

So apparently many folks and I believe this too. Not that I have taken any lava rocks but by removing one of the cool looking black lava rocks from Hawaii can really piss off Pele, the

Hawaiian Goddess of fire and volcanoes. It would seem that people from all over the world have pocketed rocks either by accident or on purpose and then blamed their life going to sh*t on the lava stones because of the ancient Hawaiian Goddess Pele who believes that they are all her children and will curse anyone who takes them from her. My advice is  to all

Volcanic Gold not
 worth your life

those couple on their honeymoons just like my -self in 1996 you might want to think twice before getting your hands on those lava rocks or lava black sand. It could really bring you bad luck. So please return the soil or lava rocks if you have been having bad luck. For a few examples from folks that have had Pele's wrath; I will put a few stories for you;

This is one tale of an couple bad luck with the Goddess Pele~

It seems that ever since they took a few items from the land of Hawaii they have nothing but bad luck and lots of medical problems. They want to apologize for taking the items and they are returning them to Hawaii.

What they had done with the lava rock last fall was but the lava rocks on the cast iron chair in their garden, Then in the spring one of  the chairs's, mind you that they were cast iron chair's. And in the spring, one of the cast iron chair's leg had just fallen off. That just doesn't happen that often. Apparently that was the least of they problems they had since they had taken the lava rock from Pele. These curses from Pele's are not mild-mannered at all, from the one's who have gone through her curse. Those who have been afflicted by it have felt the pain of her wrath. There is another tale of Pele's wrath's, this one was reported in the Los Angeles Times. It was a sad case of

Timothy Murray. Timothy 32 years old who scooped some of the unusual black sand from the Hawaii Volcanoes in the National Park into a bottle and brought it back with him to his home Florida. Well, from that day everything in his life immediately went into a nosedive; his pet died, his five-year relationship  with a girl he was to marry ended and the FBI arrested him in a computer copyright infringement case.

The native Hawaiian view of taking such souvenirs is that it's tantamount to stealing from their Goddess Pele while visiting her home. And the only way to appease her wrath is to return the stolen items.
