~StoryAboutMe2~
So find that cozy chair and a warm cup of coffee or tea
and have a sit and I will give you a bit of a tale about me.
I didn't always have health issues, there was
a time when I felt to be a very strong woman
and could do anything; well I still feel that way to a agree.
My confidence has flew out the window in the year 2005,
but i do have a strong love and peace for my
family, friends [AND YOU MY DEAR FRIENDS & FOLLOWERS TOO] and
my Husband and Son. Since that year.
Also since I meet I wonderful lady over 10-years ago,
On many Ning.sites, we have been sisters ever since.
You all know her as The Fairy Lady, I just know her as my
sister and dearest friend, Cynthia with love.
I found out at 44, yes I am aging myself but that is what
this post is all about anyways, that is when I found out that
the cancer got me. The best time of my life, I had been married about,
if i can remember 8-years and my husband and I were so happy with
our 4 year old son. Life was good for the three of us.
And when I was walking out of that mammogram office
so long ago, knowing that I would have to tell my beloved husband
that I had aggressive breast cancer with our 4 year old jumping around
so happy. It was so surreal, Like walking in a tunnel in a different reality.
When I got there he knew something was wrong.
Kai was being your typically 4 year old running around us like
there wasn't a care in the world. I was able for some very odd reason, to keep a
straight face while talking to my dear husband and my baby boy bouncing around
my legs saying mommy' mommy'.
I was able to talk to Mark ,while our son was playing around us. I told him I
had aggressive beast cancer and needed to get to a doctor NOW!
It was just 2 weeks before Christmas too.
Kinda a hard time to get to doctor appointments with this type of thing.
How does one tell your parents and in-laws that you have cancer
2-weeks before Christmas after you just turned I think 44.
Well after I told Mark at the card store and we got our son home and
ready for dinner and bed, we had a long chat on what we were going to do
and when we would tell our parents about the bad news.
It was a rough December is all I could say my dears, however
we did make it special for all three of us for we really didn't know what
lied ahead of us in January when all the craziness started. My
parents came to stay with us for many months after we told them.
It was hard I must say that December of 2004 to try and have a happy
Christmas with my son and husband. To not think of the cancer continuing to grow
inside me until early January, when I had the start of many surgeries, medical tests, and going
to the hospital all the time .
Well, during that time I found out that as I was going through the process
of trying to beat the cancer. I was quite lucky that I had found it when I did. If I had let
it go any longer that I probably would not be blogging with you all.
You see I had miss my mammogram by 4-months, not thinking it was that big of a deal.
Well I learned the hard way and almost died.
That is why I ended up with stage 3 aggressive Breast Cancer. And from this story it has
been going since the present.
Having health problems and many other problems all these years
that I will continue another day
YOUR WENDY
